Chainsaw's and Bottle's voices dissipated - conflict could be heard, emanating from the bridge, but all he could think about right now was the heavy, water sloshing him aggressively from side to side, quickly and sharply forcing him towards an oncoming waterfall that threatened pain, and possibly, but most agonisingly, drowning.

With a sudden rush of adrenaline, Treasure Chest attempted to keep himself afloat, even though his arms ached and his eyes hurt - which made it increasingly more difficult for him. He pushed and he pushed. He thrashed and he thrashed. He flailed and he flailed; to absolutely no avail. He was still barrelling at rocket speed towards the end of the waterfall.

Treasure Chest screamed. He really tried his best. He called out. He thrashed his arms all about, but nothing happened. Nothing was listening to him, and no one was coming to help him. But that wasn't new. He wasn't afraid to speak up, but no one ever listened to him.

He wasn't selfish. He was good. He was doing the right thing. Right?

It was times like these, where he was alone with only his thoughts, that he would think about himself and what everyone else thought of him. Maybe, they're all right. Treasure Chest pondered, easing his pain in his limbs. Water flooded promptly into his throat. Honestly, he wanted to swim up, he wanted to fight this, but he didn't. Or maybe, he just couldn't. Maybe he was too weak.

He didn't even deserve to be here anymore. He deserved to leave the show ages ago, but somehow he stayed. Somehow, they all let him stay, reluctantly.

It made Treasure Chest think back to that moment. It made him think back to the moment he decided he wasn't going to leave just yet. He was going to fight to win. He wishes he didn't do that. Everything would be better.

That's why it's better to not fight. It's better to remain passive. It's better to get pushed to the side and forgotten about. His eyes began to close, his vision fading to black. His senses began to grow numb. Treasure Chest had just accepted it. It was the right thing to do after all.

Drown. Drown. Drown. Drown...

Yet, he did not know or comprehend when, but he was jolted awake from being forced hastily into a thick marsh. It made him feel deathly cold. Oh yeah. The challenge.

He was battered. After all that, his limbs hurt, his eyes hurt, everything hurt. And, he was so dirty. He was covered in mud, and had shrivelled, dead leaves and twigs stuck to his body.

He needed to keep going though. He wouldn't want to make Chainsaw feel the pride of seeing him get eliminated. Never in a million years.

He was going to persist.
