Trigger Warning: Mentions of child abuse due to the nature of the main character for "To deprive a deprived person".

My name is Yuu, Satou Yuu, 12 years old.

I know it's sudden, but I'm dying.

I can feel my consciousness fading bit by bit. The person in front of me is that creature. The creature that always threatens my step-father to pay his debt. His ugly mug speaks to me nonchalantly.

"I'm sorry, I have no choice. I have to do this. Just consider it as paying your father's debt." An ugly face crept onto his face as he laughed. Does he take me for an idiot? Wait, of course he does. I know he has a choice. I know that man has a choice. Even a deprived person like Mother has a choice. 'I have to do this', what utter bullshit. Lies. Lies! Lies! I know the truth!

"It's not my fault" was the single phrase she continually whispered to herself audibly.

I glanced over to Mother, no that would be too graceful for someone like her. I glanced over to the creature that brought me into this world, cowering in the corner of the room as she began to realise what she's doing. Did it honestly take so long to realise this?

...How dare she? She repents when I'm deprived of even my life? She repents when she also joined in? I remember everything...!

I remember how she made me swallow thumbtacks and threw me nude in the snow, laughing together with that man...!

I remember how she smashed pottery onto me just so she could make herself feel better about marrying that fucker!

I remember how she attempted to drown me!

...

BUT NOW SHE REPENTS?

BULLSHIT!

I WANT TO BE THE ONE TO DEPRIVE! I WANT TO BE THE ONE TO BE HAPPY!
I WANT TO BE THE ONE TO LIVE!

I WANT TO DEPRIVE! DEPRIVE! DEPRIVE! DEPRIVE! DEPRIVE! DEPRIVE! Dep...rive... Dep...rive...

"D...ep...rive..." I squeezed out as the last thing that crossed my mind wasn't the word 'deprive', but rather the two types of people in this world. The first ones are those, who are always being deprived. The second ones are those, who deprive others. If only I had another chance... I'd deprive all the feelings of deprivation...

While I was thinking about my deprivation for the last time, I succumbed into darkness.

—Satou Yuu's last moments in another world prior.

It was only momentary, however the boy – dressed in rags – found himself amongst a pile of corpses. Littered with decomposing bodies, bulging eyes surrounded him in a horrid scene straight from hell; the boy himself could only stare at the surroundings in an arising shock, temporarily wondering why such a sight could suddenly be shown towards him.

Then it clicked.

He had died. He was in hell. He had kicked the bucket and finally gotten himself killed by those who brought him into this world. It was displeasing, it was unfair, it was unjust— why did only bad things happen to him? He couldn't go against such a dour fate and was essentially predetermined for failure upon birth.

His deceased eyes glared at the scenery in front of him, although strangely an oddity occurred.

In front of him in a gust of wind appeared an old figure: a kind, gentle lady.

His consciousness faded at a moment's notice.

The boy was embraced by a soft feeling. It was pleasant, all-encompassing and deceptive. He immediately flung himself up to inspect his surroundings. He was in a bed, but he was pretty sure that he wasn't in a hospital. He looked out the glass window and could only see lively-green trees, a forest to be exact. The floorboards were wooden which was unlike any hospital he's seen.

Why was he here? How was he here? He did not know but steeled his expectations and emotions, bottling them just in case. His memories were hazy, but he was absolutely sure that he had lost consciousness when he was choked by his step-father in front of a debt-collector.

"Oh! You have woken up!"

The words belonged to an old elder, she exuded a kind aura. Briefly exchanging words, she told him that she brought him here to her home because he fell from the sky in the woods and thought that he was a Spirit due to his black hair which was especially uncommon in this particular region of the world.

Conversing further, he realised something quite interesting that brought a smile on his face. This place was not Japan, this world wasn't even Earth– this place was just Resser Village of the Beol Mountains. He may have just been an elementary schooler, but he at least knew the name of the continent was Asia and not Pangaea.

He was now on another planet. Perfect.

The language that was spoken wasn't Japanese, but Koine which had a stark resemblance to Greek. He had no idea why he was able to understand what was being said nor why he could actually speak it, and so without any clues he put a leash on that line of questioning for future research as there was something far more important.

He was already convinced that this wasn't the same world anymore. However, the most convincing thing? It was the weird information window that was displayed in front of him.

Unknown world? Earth, from which he originated from, was an unknown world? It wasn't like he was planning to find his way back home, so it was fine that it was unknown, and with the basic game knowledge he possessed he could roughly understand his status and so he should have a higher survivability than the normal individual.

He smiled as he chewed a piece of bread that was offered to him.

(...This time, I'll be the one depriving.)
