𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 appeared on a laptop in the investigation room, each of which showed different fair-skinned, brunette women, with Garcia's video feed in the corner as she spoke. "Okay, party people," she addressed the team that gathered around, in addition to Abbie and Detective Greenhill, with only the absence of JJ, who was attending to the reporters hoarded outside. "Meet Jenna Robson, Heather Philbin, and Diane Walters, the very unlucky few to meet their demise in the Pelican State. Jenna, 27, was a divorced mom with two kids. She was found about twenty miles outside of Vinton, dumped literally on the side of the road, naked, with her hair chopped off."

Jenna's smiling portrait faded to show the crime scene photos provided by Vinton Police Department. She had befallen to a pale, mangled body that was covered in dust, her dark hair was cut at jagged and uneven angles. Her blue eyes, once full of promise, were glazed over. Abbie couldn't help but wonder what the last thing was that those eyes would have seen.

"Heather Philbin," Garcia continued, the screen changing again, "was only 24. She was dumped at a gas station outside of DeQuincy, again, hair cut off. Then, Diane Walters, 28, single mom to four, was discovered ten miles west of Sulphur. Does anyone want to guess what happened to her hair?"

"It was cut off?" Noah droned, his elbow propped on the table to hold his chin in his hand.

"Oh my god, how did you know?"

"Garcia," Hotch warned, keeping her on target.

"Sorry, sir."

Abbie straightened in her chair, placed between Dr Reid and Detective Greenhill. "Is that enough of a signature to match them to these women?" She pointed to the photos of the other bodies across the table, with Lisa Holden now since joined them.

"If it's not," Morgan noted, "it's a hell of a coincidence."

Frowning, Abbie spoke again. "What are the odds of that?"

"It wouldn't be hard to calculate," Reid stammered, perking up. "If we cross-reference the number of unsolved cases in Texas that involve the removal of hair against those of Louisiana..."

"Rhetorical, genius," Morgan interrupted.

"Oh."

Another similarity pricked at Abbie's mind, as it seemed to do for Noah too. "Were they stabbed?" he asked.
