---"Nigga, he just dropped a diss," Chubbs barged into my room while I was wrapping my ankle. I twisted it, landing a dunk during our SBL game.
"Who?" I asked, curious.
"Dot, and he mentioned Jaliyah and the boys," Chubbs handed me his phone so I could listen.
"Fuck this nigga," I muttered, shooting a text to Noel to meet me in the studio in 30 minutes.
I hobbled to check on the boys before heading downstairs. Glancing at the time, I figured Jaliyah was still asleep in Greece for her girls' trip. I'd seen some of Crystal's IG pics. I wanted to call Jaliyah but decided against it.
"Shit's crazy, these niggas were really plotting," I grumbled, slowing my pace due to my throbbing ankle.
"Nah, don't let that shit get to you," Chubbs said from behind me.
"Oh, I'm not. We'll see how this shit plays out..."
A couple of hours later, I wrapped up my response. During that, Jaliyah texted, checking in after hearing the diss. She also shared some shit that I definitely used in my response:
"So you finished it?" Jaliyah asked over FaceTime. She looked stunning out on her balcony.
"Yeah," I chuckled. "I have two tracks. Anyway, enough about that shit! What do you and your girls have planned for today?"
"A little sightseeing and shopping," she grinned. "Of course! Make sure you bring me something," I teased before lying down. Wincing at the pain in my ankle, of course, caught her concern.
"What's wrong?" Jaliyah asked, worried.
"Nothing crazy just fucked up my ankle during a game," I assured her.
"It's always something! Your knees or your ankles! You need to rest! You do too much!" She frowned.
"Liyah baby, I'm good. Look at you worrying about me," I smirked.
"Whatever, get off my phone!" she laughed.
"Alright, well have fun today. Stay off of social media, so it doesn't ruin your trip," I advised.
"I will. Please rest and don't let these jealous niggas get to you!" she reminded me.
"Never, baby. Hit me if you need anything. I love you," I said, surprised that she didn't hang up after I said that.
"Love you too," she hung up first, leaving me staring at my phone, lost in thought.
"I need to sleep," I muttered, setting my phone on the nightstand before getting more comfortable.
The next afternoon, I dropped my response. I knew Dot would fire back; I just had to wait. This shit might cause some damage.
"What time are we heading to Miami?" Chubbs asked, checking his phone.
