It's been 300 years since he's been here. The village hidden in the leaves didn't exist anymore. The old village was gone. It was now a big city with tall buildings, wide roads, fast-running vehicles, LED holdings, etc. This was far different from the place he was born.
Sasuke walked along the street where he once lived; his home with his wife and daughter. Now, there was a big mall established in that place. He walked further, hoping to avoid the memories he had with this place. However, he couldn't help it. All the sad, happy, intense memories were hitting him.
He walked into a hotel to check-in. He didn't have a home in Konoha anymore. Not just Konoha he didn't have a home anywhere in the world after her.
The world moved forward very fast. The new technologies started to take over the world resulting in the disappearance of the shinobies and ninja world. There wasn't a single shinobi left in the village. The word had now become a myth. Even for Sasuke, it's been very long since he used his chakra. He had to adapt to the new and modern world with time.
His phone rang, and the caller was Kenji Uzumaki. An Uzumaki, out of all people, he had to be associated with an Uzumaki. Kenji must be a descendant of certain someone he knew, the blond idiotic best friend of his. The irony was that, after 300 years the closest person Sasuke would call a friend was Kenji Uzumaki.
"Have you checked in, Sasuke?" Kenji spoke from the other side.
"Yes, just checked in. How are things over there?" He asked. Sasuke had to manage living in the new world. Being a shinobi wouldn't get him anywhere. So, he invested his savings in opening an orphanage. Over the years he grew his business and now owned several orphanages and hospitals.
"It's going fine. Don't worry about anything here. You just focus on your meeting. A representative involved in the project of Konoha Hospital will be with you. She's very young but capable," Kenji explained.
"Alright, call me if there are any issues. I will be back as soon as I end the meeting," Sasuke hung up. His life had been the same in these years, wake up, eat, work, and sleep. He was surviving not living, waiting for all to be over, waiting for his freedom, waiting for her to be back. He stopped aging. He didn't catch any sickness. If he got a cut, his body would heal itself immediately. The lost arm and eye of his were regenerated. He was basically immortal.
Sasuke got ready to meet the new doctor. He'd been living outside Konoha to forget the old memories that place carried. Konoha Hospital recently approached him with new developmental plans. This hospital was special to him, since Sakura once owned it, and took care of the hospital with passion. He bought the hospital for her and now, he was back to discuss the new plans for the hospital.
He waited for her at the restaurant where he was supposed to meet her.
Kenji had sent him the information about the doctor. He decided to go through the bio-data to learn a bit about her. He opened her file, to be surprised by the doctor's name.
"Hello, Mr. Uchiha," A voice came behind him, a very familiar voice. Then he saw it, emerald eyes and pink hair.
"I'm Dr. Sakura Kimoto," She offered her hand for a shake. He hesitantly accepted it. The touch was the same. He knew it, it was Sakura. She was back.
"Please, take a seat," Sasuke said in a low voice, still processing what was happening. She started talking about the plans, but all he could focus on was her eyes, her hair, and her voice which he missed so much. He didn't realize he was holding the glass so tight until it broke into pieces.
"Oh my god!" Sakura shouted. "Are you all right?" She asked.
"Yes, I'll be fine," He replied.
"You're bleeding," She said. "Let me treat that wound." It was then that he realized the blood. He hadn't healed, and he felt the pain. He concluded that she was indeed Sakura. She was back, and his curse was finally broken.

One fine day, suddenly an unknown Otsutsuki appeared and attacked the village. A war broke out right there and then. In the process, Sarada lost her life. Everything was going bad that day as the village was bearing a huge loss. At the last moment, the sage of six paths appeared out of nowhere. In agony, Sasuke had somehow summoned the sage with his chakra. In exchange for Sarada's life and, the well-being of the village, Sasuke made an ultimate sacrifice. He would soon go into a deep sleep until the day Sarada would die, and the world would forget him. He would continue to live until someone would be reincarnated to free him. That someone being Sakura.

"It's not that deep, you'll be fine within next week," Sakura said as she cleaned his wound, and did the first aid.
"Mr. Uchiha, we can continue the meeting some other day if you want," Sakura proposed.
"Sasuke," Sakura looked at him confused. "No need for formalities call me Sasuke. And, we can finish the meeting now."
"Ok then, Sasuke let's continue the meeting," She let out a small chuckle. Sasuke raised a brow.
"What is it?"
Sakura seemed nervous. "It's just that you seem very familiar. Have we met before?" Sasuke smiled at that.
"Maybe." He replied.
"I am trying to remember you from somewhere, but can't seem to do it. My mind's so hazy."
"It could have been a long time then," Sasuke suggested.
"I guess it was a long time back. We must have a very special connection," She wondered.
A very long, Sasuke thought. He's been waiting for her for 3 centuries. Finally, he felt as if he could breathe. His life was back, and he could continue where he left off.
He discussed the new plans with Sakura. She was reincarnated, but still the same Sakura he knew. Not only her looks, but her professionalism and love for medicine, her genuine willingness to help people, her love for sweet food, her expressions, and everything else.
When they parted ways, he didn't want her to leave. He wanted to stay with her, to hug her, and kiss her. But, he would do that soon. He was going to fight for her. Last time, Sakura fought for his love till the end despite his stubbornness and selfishness, Sakura stayed loyal to him. It was his turn now. He'd waited for her and was faithful to her. He would fight the world to have her back.
He took his phone to make a call.
"Sasuke everything alright," Kenji spoke from the other line.
"Yes, everything is good. However, there has been a slight change in plans. I am going to stay back," He had a reason to stay now.
"Why so sudden change?"
"I realized that my home is here in Konoha." Sasuke hung up. He took a box out of his pocket. It contained the ring he once made for his wife. He could finally return the ring to the rightful owner.
