A/N: This is a Sakura x Fem Sasuke fic
Sasuke was annoyed by her neighbor, Sakura. She knew what her intentions were. Sakura made excuses to visit their house, made food, and brought it over to impress her mother. All of that was to get closer to her brother Itachi.
Most girls liked Itachi for his looks, and Sakura was one of them. So, she always tried to gain his attention. Sasuke didn't like that. She was her friend, so she was supposed to visit her, not impress Itachi. Sasuke didn't know where the rage came from whenever she saw Sakura with Itachi.
Sasuke and Sakura have been friends since their childhood. They grew up in the same neighborhood, making them very close. After her friends from school, Sakura was her closest friend. She didn't like to admit it, but she felt jealous thinking about Sakura and Itachi.
"Sasuke, are you alright? You seem very different these days. Did I do anything to upset you?" Sakura asked her one day.
"No, it's not like that," She lied.
"I am getting a vibe that you are angry with me for something. Please, if there is anything, do tell me," Sakura stated.
Sasuke stayed silent for a while before asking," Do you like Itachi?"
"H-huh. What? Where did that come from?" Sakura shouted.
"You always make excuses to come here. Not that I mind you coming over, but you try to stay over all the time. Maybe that's because you like my brother," Sasuke argued.
"You are an idiot. It's not because I like Itachi. It's because-" She stopped.
"Because?"
"It's because I like you, Sasuke. I like you a lot, not just as a friend, but more than that. You are so beautiful, and I find you attractive," Sakura whispered nervously. "I don't know if you like me that way. Heck, I don't know if you even like girls."
Sakura was interrupted by a soft kiss on her lips. That wasn't a long kiss, just a small peck, but Sakura's stomach fluttered with butterflies. She looked at Sasuke to find out she was blushing. Their eyes locked on each other. Both communicated their feelings with their eyes.
"I like you too. I've liked you for a while. I was afraid to ruin our friendship," Sasuke confessed.
"Well, that clears all the doubts," Sakura laughed, and Sasuke joined her. They held their hands together in the promise of a new beginning.
