My mom shouts from in the kitchen .

Mom : likkle gal get up and go bade .

"Mommy a it mi ago do now , a cool mi did a cool off . A just 6:30 now inuh.

Mom: Look how you room Look fi a big 17 year Ole gal.

My mom says slamming the door on her way out .

I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and bade .

Few minutes I went downstairs in my tights and marina .

My mother hands me the breakfast and I sat around the island to eat .

I was eating when my phone buzzed. I look on the lock screen.

Message from bestie : yuh ready . memba fi ask mother if you can come a the party .

Ok ,a eat mi eat . I replied.

Mommy mi can go one a mi fren dem party ?

I put on my uniform

"Bye mommy" I said while walking out .

In class
7:20am

I was frighten to see neika in the same course as me . She was on her phone doing .... God knows what.

I sat in a seat beside her . She looks up from her phone .

" omg Tania, you have the same course as me ? " she says amazingly.

"Me did frighten fi see you to it luk like wi deh inna the same course ." I smile .

" Good morning " .

The professor walked in greeting the class.

"Good morning professor " the students said .

" So there is two new students that just join us today . Tania Ricketts and Kevin Sharpe. " the professor indicated to the class.

Class was over and so we were at the bus stop waiting for taxi when neika spoke " girl, you a come a di party?"

A Bayside bus stop at our feet and we went in.

Few minutes the bus stop to let of two passengers at Gregory Park Gas station ..... neika pay the ductor her fare and told him her destination.

" right here suh ." The bus stop. " Lata Tania... call mi ok " before I could say anything the bus drove off .
