"Alright, the next item up for grabs is a bag of rice, keep in mind that there is no rice at camp so this is a big one" Jonathan announces holding up the bag of rice up high above his head as we all eye it up. "Next up is Ravi for the blood tribe up against girlfriend Bex for the water tribe, a couples rivalry here battling it out for a very important bag of rice"

I make my way over to the top of the waterslide, my tribe cheering me on. Ravi gives me a quick hug before pulling away, having a quick stretch.

"Survivors ready" Jonathan shouts we both get ready to go, I try to psych myself up. "Go" Ravi gets off ahead zooming down, I skid down the slide tumbling to the bottom, clashing against the sand. "That has got to hurt, there is no time to lay around though, Ravi got the rice" I roll over and stand up a bit dazed. I see Ravi running over to his squad holding the rice. I try to run after him but it's no use. I am too late. "Ravi wins it for the blood tribe" Jonathan cry's out. The blood tribe starts jumping up and down, cheering.

Fuck I just made a right idiot of myself, that couldn't have gone any worse. I look over at Ravi, who is running around screaming, celebrating his win. I stand still for a second trying to get my breath back.

Ravi strolls over to me, putting his arm around me "Are you ok?" He whispers to me looking concerned. I just nod trying to fake a smile. He smiles back at me walking over to his tribe who are hugging and congratulating him. I walk back to my tribe who try to console me but I can see on their faces they're trying to hide their disappointment.

"Next item That's up for grabs is a bag of pineapples, we have Veronica for the water tribe going to battle against her daughter Ivy for the blood tribe," Jonathan says as they both make their way to their starting positions.

Just as they are about to get ready to start, I feel someone tapping me on the shoulder. I turn around to look at them to see it's Myles, the guy Jonathan spoke to after me earlier. "Hey good effort out there" he quietly says to me.

"Did you watch the same thing as everyone else as I bombed it out there?" I say, not sure what to think of him yet.

"Survivor ready, go" we hear Jonathan starting the challenge.

"You just had a rough start that's all, you were up against a guy who looks like a bodybuilder, so I say it still was a good effort," Myles whispers to me while everyone else's attention is on the challenge. Veronica is in a tug-of-war with Ivy for the pineapples.

"Thanks but I still think I could have done better, I should have put up a bit more of a fight," I admit looking down at the ground still disappointed with how my attempt at the challenge went.

"Don't put yourself down so easily, you need confidence to survive this game" Myles says trying to comfort me.

"It looks like you have a lot of that so I am sure you'll be fine," I say deflecting, not wanting to reveal how hard I am finding things right now.
