As she arrived at the sleek glass facade of her office building, Isabella took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, steeling herself for the day ahead. Inside, the air was filled with the hum of productivity, the energy of ambition crackling.

Hours passed in a blur of meetings and deadlines, each moment punctuated by the relentless tick of the clock.

By the time the workday drew close, Isabella felt drained yet oddly exhilarated, her mind buzzing with the adrenaline of accomplishment.

With the promise of the weekend looming on the horizon, Isabella's colleagues gathered for post-work drinks at a nearby bar, eager to unwind and let loose after a long week.

As she sipped her cocktail and mingled with her coworkers, Isabella couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie and belonging washed over her. Beside her stood Sarah, her closest friend and confidante at work.

They had been through it all together, from late nights in the office to celebrating each other's successes and commiserating over their setbacks.
"Can you believe it's finally Friday?" Sarah exclaimed, her voice tinged with excitement. "I don't know about you, but I am ready for a drink." Isabella chuckled, a smile spreading across her lips. "Tell me about it," she replied. "This week has been a whirlwind." Isabella and Sarah navigated through the crowded bar, their laughter blending with the chatter of their colleagues.

As they reached the bar, Sarah leaned in close, her voice tinged with excitement.
"Hey, have you seen that guy over there?" Sarah asked hushedly, nodding towards a familiar face across the room.

Isabella followed Sarah's gaze and felt her breath catch as she locked eyes with Alex, a blast from her past and her university crush. Memories flooded her mind, stirring up long-forgotten desires and emotions. "Yeah, I see him," Isabella replied with a soft smile, her heart racing at seeing him. "That's Alex." Sarah's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, Alex as in your university crush Alex?" she exclaimed, barely able to contain her excitement. Isabella nodded, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "The one and only," she admitted sheepishly. "I never thought I'd see him again." Their eyes met across the crowded bar, a spark of recognition igniting between them like a match struck in the darkness.

With a sense of certainty, Isabella found herself drawn to him, her steps guided by a force beyond her control. "Isabella!" Alex exclaimed, his voice cutting through the din of the bar. "I can't believe it's you." Isabella's heart fluttered at the sound of his voice, her cheeks flushing with warmth. "Alex," she replied, a smile spreading across her lips. "It's been too long."

As they exchanged pleasantries, Sarah couldn't help but notice the chemistry between them, the way their eyes met and lingered, sparking with an undeniable attraction.

"So, Isabella tells me you two go way back," Sarah said, turning her attention to Alex. "It's nice to finally meet the infamous Alex." Alex smiled, taking a sip of his drink. "Yeah, we go way back. And I'm loving the coincidence of running into her again, especially since I just moved to town." He chuckled. "I'm still getting settled, but this is definitely a great way to start my new life here."
