TODAY WAS THE DAY you'd get promoted your job— if you'd just interview your best friend, your not sure if you'd be 100% comfortable with that but this job really means a lot to you.
You moved to america to tokyo, recently. just to see him..kenji sato. It's been awhile since you've seen each other, so you just wanted to surprise him.
Sitting in the audience with the other reporters, you shift in your seat and gulp nervously— of course you were nervous, this would be your first time seeing him in almost..20 years?
"Alright, who's first?" And just hearing his voice again...it brings back a lot of nostalgic memories, and it reminds you of how much he changed.
You watched as he talked, your leg bouncing up and down nervously. was the anxiety eating you up? most definitely, and now that you were here you knew this would be a good chance to speak up.
It's now or never.
"Mr.Sato. Why did you come back to Japan?" A woman asks.
"I...I'm sorry. What's your name?" Kenji asks as he looks towards the woman, brows furrowed.
"Ami wakita." Ami answers and then turns to you, her brows raised as she grabs your wrist, "and this here is [Y/n] [L/n]. she's also a reporter."
"Hey, hey– uhm.." you laugh nervously. "maybe don't put me in the spotlight?"
Kenji takes a good look at you, his eyes squinting as he tilts his head, licking his bottom lip as he chuckled. "Reminds me of someone."
