Being a demigod is hard. VERY hard. I'm sure you already know that, since you're reading this.
But even my adventures in which I didn't know I was a demigod were pretty dangerous.
And in this, I will recount my adventures that brought me to Camp Half-Blood and my adventures afterwards.
________________________________________________________________________________
It was just another boring day. Ms. Naomi rattling off something in English class; I wouldn't know. Running a mile in 80 degree weather in P.E and getting yelled at by my history teacher, Mr. Canderman; you know, the usual stuff.
My best friend Evelyn Li obviously aced all her classes and got fawned over by all the teachers. I still don't know why she would want to hang out with a dumb-as-a-doorbell loser and nobody like me. She's really nice, with charcoal black hair and brown eyes. She immigrated from China when she was 3 to the U.S., she told me.
She lives in the same conditions as me, run down apartments with less-than-habitable conditions. But somehow, we both get through each day.
But fast-forward to the walk home. We lived near each other and we were talking about our upcoming Math finals.
"Want to call tonight to study?" Evelyn asked, knowing I would need extreme help.
"Sure." I said, already exhausted from the day and stressed about the upcoming finals.
There was an intersection in which was parted; her home was near mine but there was a path going to hers and another path branching out to mine.
We both said our "bye"s and we headed off.
So now begins the weird part.
As I was walking back home I saw an animal.
It looked like a dog, so much so that I barely gave it any thought, as my mind was already filled with tumultuous thoughts.
But when I gave it a second glance it seemed to transform into a hound, teeth dripping with carnage and blood.
Five thoughts were registered to my pea-sized brain, "hound", "scary", "blood", "I'm gonna die", and finally, "RUN"
And I did just that. I ran faster than I ever did; the streets were a blur as I raced towards home.
As I got to my apartment, I ran to the elevator but then realized that my mom told me to grab a package from the front desk, something about a stack of letters?
Panting and struggling for breath, I doubled back to the receptionist desk and quickly asked the receptionist, "P-package for 3B?"
She glanced up and smiled. And not in the sweet smile, the creepy smile.
"Ah Mr. Williams. Yes. Follow me." she said, doing that same smile.
At this point, you would probably be screaming, "UM ARE YOU DRUNK OR SOMETHING. DON'T GO DOWN THERE"
Ah...well I went down there.
She went down a staircase where I could hear a commotion.
I saw three ladies sitting down at a table playing cards, an unusual sight to see on the way to a package room/storage. The receptionist went to the table and whispered something to the ladies and they all got up and did the same creepy smile.
"You have found the Heir...nice work, Janice. Now we will finish him off and inherit the Celestial!" One of the ladies said, with a grin of malice and greed.
Ok. So at this point, I was scared. REALLY scared. But, you see, when I'm scared, I freeze up and my body shuts down. As you can see, this was not a good time for that. But, of course, it happened.
All of the women pulled out a blade, each one different from the other and with a weird engraving.
I backed up slowly but I had little space to maneuver. The ladies were closing in...
