The day of their dinner finally arrived, and both Lou and Charlotte were eager for the evening to come. It was still a morning and Lou was at her house with Tammy and Debbie.

"So, are you going to show us what you're wearing?" Debbie asked, sipping her coffee.

"Yeah, give me a sec," Lou replied, heading upstairs to change.

"She seems really serious about this, huh?" Tammy remarked.

Debbie nodded in agreement. "She is. I'm really happy for her."

When Lou returned, she was dressed in her suit. She watched her friends for their reactions.

"Lou! That looks so good," Tammy complimented with a smile.

"Do you think so? I don't know if it's too much. I just wanted to match Charlotte's dress," Lou confessed.

"You look amazing, Lou. That color really suits you," Debbie said approvingly.

Tammy's eyes lit up with excitement. "Oh my god, did you give Charlotte the dress for that?"

"What dress?" Debbie asked, confused.

Lou reached for her phone. "I asked Tammy to get me this dress for Charlotte while we were getting our outfits for the Met." She showed Debbie the picture of the dress on her phone.

"Wow, that's really gorgeous. You're such a softie, Miller," Debbie teased with a smirk.

"Shut up, Deb," Lou retorted playfully as she smoothed out her suit. "So, can I go like this?"

"Of course, she won't be able to take her eyes off you," Tammy reassured her.

Debbie scoffed, "Eyes? More like hands."

With a quick eye roll and smile, Lou went back upstairs to change.

Charlotte began her preparations at 5 o'clock, starting with a shower and a thorough shave. She washed her hair, blow-dried it, and set it in curlers. Sitting in front of her mirror with the curlers still in her hair, she meticulously applied her makeup. She filled in her eyebrows, defined her eyelids with a shimmering gold eyeshadow, and used a darker brown shade for eyeliner. After applying foundation, she dusted a gorgeous gold highlighter on her cheekbones. Remembering to brush her teeth before applying a bold red lipstick, she admired the result. Her makeup was flawless.

With 20 minutes left until seven, she removed the curlers from her hair, revealing the perfect hairstyle she had aimed for. A quick spritz of hairspray ensured it would hold. She then applied some body lotion and slipped into the red lace underwear she had chosen the day before.

Her phone rang just as she was about to dress. Seeing Lou's name on the screen brought a smile to her face. "Hi, I'm here," Lou said. Charlotte glanced at the time; it was still 10 minutes to seven. Lou was clearly as eager as she was.

"Oh, I need a bit more time. Could you come in and wait for a while? The door's unlocked," Charlotte suggested.

"Of course, take your time," Lou replied.

Lou entered and made herself comfortable on the couch while Charlotte slipped into the dress, admiring how it pushed her breasts up beautifully. "Lou's gonna love this," she thought to herself.

She added some gold bracelets to complement the dress but left her neck bare for balance. The final touch was a pair of gold heels and a spritz of perfume.

After packing her purse and giving herself one last look in the mirror, Charlotte made her way downstairs, ready for the evening.

As Charlotte descended the stairs, Lou rose from her seat, waiting at the bottom. The sight of Charlotte took her breath away. As Charlotte reached the last few steps, Lou extended her hand to help Charlotte down. They stood there for a moment, hand in hand, taking in each other's appearance.

Lou was dressed in a gold suit with no shirt underneath, revealing a tasteful amount of cleavage. The suit was complemented by gold high-heeled boots and a matching coat. Her hands were adorned with gold rings, one of which had a striking red gem that matched the jewel at the center of Charlotte's dress. Her neck was draped with gold necklaces featuring black details. Together, they made a stunning couple.

Charlotte ran her hand along Lou's waist, looking into her eyes, "You look absolutely breathtaking, Lou

Charlotte ran her hand along Lou's waist, looking into her eyes, "You look absolutely breathtaking, Lou."

Lou was speechless. She knew Charlotte would look spectacular in the dress, but the reality exceeded her wildest dreams. From her gorgeous hair to her red lipstick, Charlotte was a vision. After taking it all in, Lou finally managed to say, "I don't think words can describe how perfect you are."

She gave Charlotte a light hug, careful not to ruin their outfits, and gestured towards the door. "Shall we go, my lady?" she asked.

Charlotte laughed, put on her coat, and took Lou's hand as they headed out.

As they were driving, Charlotte couldn't help but ask the question that had been on her mind since she saw Lou's outfit. "Did you match our clothes?"

Lou responded with a shy smile. "Yeah."

Charlotte beamed at her. "You're so adorable."

Lou rolled her eyes at that, frowning slightly. "I'm definitely not."

Charlotte just laughed and agreed, "Okay, you're not."

Changing the subject, Charlotte asked, "So, where are we going?"

Lou just smirked and replied, "Still not telling you."

Upon reaching their destination, Lou gallantly opened the door for Charlotte and guided her towards a seemingly dark building. Charlotte's confusion quickly turned into awe as Lou opened the door to reveal her club, dimly lit and intimate. In the middle of the dance floor was a beautifully set dining table, complete with candles and a single rose, all set against the backdrop of soft music.

Charlotte had always found such grand romantic gestures to be a bit much, but coming from Lou, she felt an overwhelming sense of love and appreciation. It seemed all it took was finding the right person to appreciate such gestures.

Lou wrapped an arm around Charlotte and said softly, "I thought, since you haven't seen my club yet, we could combine it with our dinner date. I hope you don't mind?"

In response, Charlotte turned to Lou, pulled her close by the waist, and planted a passionate kiss on her lips. Pulling back slightly, she cheekily echoed Lou's earlier note, "Does that answer your question?" After wiping the lipstick off Lou's lips, she asked, "Did you close the bar on its busiest night just for me?"

Lou responded with a smile, "You're worth it. Would you like a tour before dinner is ready?"

"Of course I would! Lead the way, Blondie," Charlotte replied enthusiastically.

After a quick tour of the club, they returned to find an appetizer of grilled prawns, Charlotte's favorite, already served. To accompany the meal, there was rosé, also a favorite of Charlotte's. She was surprised that Lou remembered these details from their long conversations.

As they settled down at the table, Charlotte noticed the music playing in the background. "Lou, are you playing Taylor Swift?" she asked, a look of surprise on her face.

Lou responded with a mischievous grin, "Well, you did say that I'd be a Swiftie after you were done with me. Although, I hope you're not done with me yet."

Charlotte reached across the table to take Lou's hand and said, "I don't think that will happen anytime soon."
