SUMMER 2019 - SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - Y/N'S APARTMENT
Y/n is looking at her email account, anxiously seeing if the job application to work for one of the film studios like Warner Brothers Studios or Disney has offered her a job. While waiting, she checks her YouTube account and sees that her latest video has over 1,000 views.
"Yes!" Y/n sighs, pleased at what she's seeing. "Can't believe I'm getting more views. I'm glad that I got that equipment. I just hope I get that job." She turns to her pet dog, Luke, the German Shepard. "What do you think buddy? Think mommy will have better luck this time?"
BARK! BARK!
Y/n sighs. She turns as she hears a ring from the Zoom app. She notices that the call is from the Human Resources executive from Universal Studios. Excited, she takes her phone, pushes the record to face her, and answers the call. "Hello?"
Mr. Brumley, forties, intelligent, and well respected, says, "Hi is this Ms. L/n?"
"Yes sir," she replied.
"Hi, how are you today?"
"I'm good thank you. How are you?"
"I'm good thank you."
"Good."
"So after our interview last week, going through your resume, and going through everything, the board and I've decided that you would be a great addition to the Universal Studios family and ask if you would work on our newest project that we're going to film in several months."
Y/n's face brightens up. "Really?"
"Yes ma'am," he replied. "We would like it if you would join our team as an assistant writer."
"Oh wow, thank you so much."
"Now I know you are still finishing your master's classes and live in San Antonio but will you be able to move down here possibly in a couple weeks maybe a month?"
"I can start looking for apartments. I did talk to the dean and he said that I can finish my classes online. They would be at night."
"Great. Just let us know when you will be moving down. We will let you know when to come down for orientation and when your first day of work will be."
"I will. Thank you so much. Have a nice day."
"See you soon Ms. L/N." He hangs up the Zoom call.
Y/N squeals with excitement. Honk! Honk! She leans over to the window and smiles. "Hey!"
Sam, Y/n's best friend, blonde, and determined, shouts, "You ready to go?"
"Yeah, just need to grab my sweater," Y/n replied as she grabbed her sweater and her bag. She then heads towards the door.
EXT. MOVIE THEATER, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - SOMETIME LATER
The movie theater is packed. Fans are excited and eager. On the wall, hangs a poster of the newest movie, "Avengers: Endgame" Y/n and Sam are dressed up in cosplay. Sam is dressed as Captain Marvel and Y/n is dressed as the Black Widow. They glance up and down the carpet and say, "Oh my gosh! This is so cool!"
