It was a horrible place. Yuki was around three years old when she arrived into the Orphanage, her parents both died tragically from, still, unknown surcomstances. Everyday was hell for her when she was a little older (four years old), she was beaten up daily by one of the owners of the oprhanage and was treated overly horridly by the men whom worked in the staff. The simple reason they started being assholes to her when she turned four was to make her think she was going to be safe here, until she wasn't of course.
The orphanage had been cruel to her but nothing would compare to a day where she was only six years old, she was minding her own buisness playing with a small white haired and younger boy until one of the male employees dragged her out to a seperate room.
It must have been six o' clock or so and this was the day where she got the worse treatment, not of her life but of her time at the orphanage. When the man had dragged her into the empty room he pulled out eyepatches and a small pocket knife, he placed the eye patches delicately onto Yuki's eyes and placed something she didn't see him pull out earlier, he covered her mouth with it. When he was done he made sure she was sitting rightfully onto the floor before lifting up her shirt and very slightly pull down her pants.
When he did all this and made sure it all would not move, he plunged the pocket knife into Yuki's lower belly and started carving intricate and complex designs into her lower belly. He, of course, made sure to not go too deep but keeping it deep enough so that this marking would stay onto her forever. Yuki was screaming in pain into the fabric gag and crying her eyes out into the eye patches.
When the man was done, Yuki had passed out from both bloodloss and her crying so the man took her to the infirmary of the orphanage just to patch her up ever so slightly so she wouldn't lose more blood. He removed her gag and the eyepatches, and before covering up his bloody art he quote on quote "admired" it for a short while before patching her up and rolling her belly up in some bandages. He then put Yuki into her room while she was asleep/passed out, at least she wasn't dead and he was relieved a little.
When Yuki woke up, it was by harsh slap in the face with a staff member telling her to go eat dinner and that she was already late. The poor girl was very weak from the heavy bloodloss she experienced earlier and she also became half blind from the fact she cried with eyepatches on. But all she could do was nod and sit up before whimpering in pain from the cuts on her lower belly, she hid her pain as well as she could while getting up and getting taken to the cafeteria to eat her dinner by the staff member.
Yuki took her food, her vision was blurry but she still managed to get to a seat and eat without much problem, the only problem she had was the grueling pain in her lower belly from where the man had carved into her earlier. It hurted like hell but there wasn't much she could do about it but just endure the pain and try to not pass out from it.
When she was done with her food, Yuki quickly (well... as quickly as she could with cuts in the belly.) got rid of her plate and headed to where she had to go to clean her teeth and afterwards go to sleep. She had a lot of trouble going to sleep with how much pain she was in, poor girl never thought something so horrible would happen to her in here.
She thought she was safe here.
She thought she was in a secure environement in here.
She thought everything would be alright she arrived.
All those events made her mentally grow up at a very young age, she was the most mature seven years old in the orphanage, or at least that was what the staff would tell their boss everytime they had to put up with her. She wasn't annoying or silly like the other children her age, she was "too mature for her age" was what the staff would say.
After years of torture she decided at the age of eight to run away, leaving a white haired boy behind, a poor six years old boy who would be subjected to horrible thing during Yuki's absence.
She was eight years old and she, somehow, managed to find her way to Yokohama, the biggest city around where she'd eventually pass out into a dark alley near strange and very tall black buildings that were taller than any other buildings in the city. It was then that she was found by a raven haired doctor, he was worried for the girl's wellbeing and decided to take her with him.
She was passed out from the cold and hunger she felt before arriving into the alley, the tall man was accompanied by a blonde little girl who seemed to be around the same age as Yuki at the time.
