From that day on, Sero and Todoroki found themselves spending more time together outside of training. They would study together in the library, grab lunch in the cafeteria, or simply sit in comfortable silence in the common room. Sero learned more about Todoroki's past, the struggles he faced with his family, and the internal battles he fought every day.
One evening, as they walked back to their dorms after a particularly intense training session, Todoroki surprised Sero by reaching out and gently squeezing his shoulder. "Thanks, Sero," he said sincerely. "For everything." Sero grinned, giving Todoroki a playful punch on the arm. "Anytime, Icy-Hot." Todoroki rolled his eyes but didn't protest the nickname. As they continued down the hallway, a sense of camaraderie and understanding settled between them. Sero put his arm around shoto, making the usually composed peppermint blush slightly.
