I've seen beautiful things,
But they're just as fleeting
As time.
Mountains and shorelines
Erode and humble,
Melt and crumble.
I've seen terrifyingly beautiful things.
Like wisdom beneath cracking skin,
But with Death waiting at the door.
Like Judas, nature turns away
Through bellowing thunder and quakes.
I've seen beautiful things.
Like the gentle touch of snow,
Until its touch burns
And wilts.
