Sera never thought she'd be surprised again after all the weird things she's seen in Beacon Hills, but when Scott called because Derek was a teenager again. She knew she was always going to be surprised about what goes on in this town. Though Scott assured her that everything was fine and they were going to figure out the Derek situation.
The next day everyone, except Lydia, was in history class listening to Mr. Yukimura talking about... something.
"It might surprise you to know that some of history's greatest leaders have had to endure some pretty great failures. One's you'll recognize from last night's reading, failed in business, had a nervous breakdown, was defeated for both houses of Congress, and lost as Vice-President before he was finally elected as one of the greatest presidents that this country has ever seen. Who was he?" Stiles raises his hand enthusiastically and winks at Scott, Sera rolls her eyes at the two. "Malia?" Mr. Yukimura asked. Everyone looks at Malia. Scott's phone went off and he quickly grabbed it to see what was happening. "Scott, phones off." Scott turned his phone off and set it down paying attention to Mr. Yukimura once again. "Malia?" Malia seemed to be scrambling to find the answer. "One of our greatest presidents? Gettysburg Address?" Kira raised her hand. Another phone went off. "Phones off- everyone! Malia?" She was still trying to figure out the answer. "Does anyone else know?" Sera, of course, knew it was Abraham Lincoln. Just as Sera was about to raise her hand another phone went off. "I said, phones off!" Mr. Yukimura yelled.
"Dad, that was yours." Kira says. Mr. Yukimura scrambles to grab his phone.
"Oh. Um... Scott, call Lydia." He read the text he got aloud. And just like that Scott, Stiles, and Sera were leaving school to head to the animal clinic where Derek had escaped.

They were all gathered in the main examination room and Deaton and Lydia had just finished explaining what happened.
"I don't think he's just younger in body... I think he's younger in his mind, too." Deaton explained. Lydia finished patching him up.
"He didn't recognize either of us. And he looked like he was scared out of his mind." Lydia added. As if things couldn't get weirder now Derek has... gone back in time?
"So if you're a teenage werewolf and you're scared, where do you go?" Stiles asked.
"How should I know? I turn into a fictional bird and shoot fire out of my hands." Sera remarks, trying to lighten the mood.
"A wolf goes back to his den... but Derek lives in a loft." Scott says.
