Chapter 14 (pt 3/3)

(They still have concerts by the way, i just find it really boring to write similar things every time they have a concert.)
Swiss was still awake but he was lost in thoughts. He was questioning everything. Feelings/emotions, purpose in life, mistakes, future, past. Literally everything. Still he had no expression on his face.
Dewdrop was shaking and frowning. He started sweating and whispering words with his shaky voice. He looked really scared. Was he having a nightmare? He suddenly woke up with tears in his eyes and started screaming in fear.

Dewdrop: He! He is coming back! I know it!

Swiss regained consciousness as Dewdrop started yelling. He was confused. He wasn't sure what Dewdrop was talking about. Swiss sat up next to Dewdrop and held his hands.

Swiss: What? Who is coming?

Dewdrop couldn't say more. He wasn't as scared as before but he was now crying uncontrollably. Swiss hugged him tightly. Rain and Mountain woke up but neither of them thought it was a good idea to go to them. The girls on the other hand rushed into Mountain's room where Swiss, Dewdrop and Phantom were at.

Cirrus: What's going on?
Cumulus: Is anyone hurting?
Aurora: Gosh, what happened?

They all looked worried. Dewdrop didn't look at them, he was crying loudly in Swiss chest. Phantom was just sitting there and observing the situation. Swiss was holding Dewdrop tightly and looked at the girls. After a while Dewdrop finally stopped crying. His voice was low and shaky but he was a lot calmer than before. The girls left and so did Phantom as they thought that maybe Dewdrop wanted to talk to Swiss alone. Phantom was the last one to walk out. He turned his head around and looked at Dewdrop with a quite worried face. He closed the door behind him.

Swiss: how are you feeling? "swiss said with a low and comforting tone"
Dewdrop: I- I...

Dewdrop tried to find words to describe how he felt but to do so he needed to open up about his past. Swiss was waiting. He didn't want to push Dewdrop to tell him anything. He just wanted his best friend to be fine. Dewdrop took a deep breath and was ready to speak. He had kept a secret from all of them since forever, but it was finally time to let go. His past was also something he had never ever mentioned before.

Dewdrop: Swiss... you're my all time best friend but i've been hiding something from you.

Swiss was confused but started finally putting 2+2 together. He was thinking that Dewdrop never mentioned his family or background. Swiss listened to every word Dewdrop said.

Dewdrop: I... my whole childhood has been really tough "his voice broke as he spoke" When I was little my parents, mostly my father, abused me in many different ways. At the age of 14 my mother left me, my brother and my father alone and I've never heard anything about her since that day. My father started to drink and take drugs. His abuse became worse. (Dew showed one big scar he had on his belly) This scar is one of many I have on my body. He would throw glass bottles on me and burn me with cigarettes. I've tried to end my life multiple times till I met y'all. I was finally able to leave my father but my brother was now with him alone. I was always the one who protected him but now I can't. I spoke to multiple therapists and put a restraining order against my father but it expired last week. He has been harassing me by sending me texts. He knows where I am. He will find me and kill me.

Dewdrop's voice was shaky and he spoke with fear. He held back the tears but his eyes were clearly watery. Swiss's eyes were also watery. He felt so bad for not knowing this about his best friend and therefore never being able to help him. Swiss hugged Dewdrop tightly and started to cry.

Swiss: I'll protect you "his voice broke as he spoke and cried" I'll never let him do anything to you. You're safe here.

Dewdrop hugged him back even tighter as he cried on Swiss's shoulder. Dewdrop continued talking about his past being a little more specific. It's not really important but they talked about the mental and physical even sexual abuse he had went through. He also talked about how bad of a brother he felt for leaving his brother there with their father.
After about 30 minutes of talking, Dewdrop said.

Dewdrop: Please, don't tell the others. Not yet.
Swiss: I won't say a word unless you want me to, I swear.
Dewdrop: Thank you...
