Swiss x dewdrop

Chapter 5

They arrived at the hospital. Swiss carried Dewdrop inside and claimed a doctor. He didn't even think about telling the other ghouls as he was so worried about his best friend.

Swiss: A doctor! I need to speak to a doctor, FAST!
Receptionist: Sir I need you to calm down and tell us what happened.
Swiss: My friend! He fainted! I-I don't know what's going on!
Receptionist: Okay sir, come over here. "she called someone" we need someone, now, code green (faint).

They took Dewdrop to a room and asked Swiss if he could wait outside. Swiss was really worried.
He then remembered that he needed to tell the others what happened and where they were.

Messages
Swiss: I'm at the hospital with Dew. He fainted.
Aurora: WHAT?
Cirrus: Is he okay?
Swiss: I don't know yet.
Phantom: Me and the guys are on our way.
Cumulus: We girls are also going to the hospital.
Swiss: Okay, I'll be waiting.

Doctor: Sir, the patient is awake. Would you like to come in?
Swiss: Yes please!
Doctor: Okay follow me.

They went inside the room where Dewdrop was. He was attached to a lot of machines. He looked so pale and tired.

Dewdrop: H-Hey Swiss... "he said in a low tone"
Swiss: How are you feeling Dew?
Dewdrop: I'm feeling a little better... "his voice was low and a little scratchy"
Doctor: We have to run some tests to know exactly what happened and hopefully prevent it from happening again.
Swiss: Oka...

The guys arrived and wanted to see Dewdrop.

Rain: What happened Dew?!
Phantom: Are you feeling better?
Mountain: Do you want us to do anything for you?
Doctor: There are too many people in this ro...

The girls walked in

Cumulus: Dew!
Aurora: What happened Dew?!
Cirrus: We were worried sick about you.
Doctor: Only one person can stay in the room! The patient decides who he wants to be here.

Dewdrop took Swiss by the arm, trying to sign that he wanted his best friend in the room.

Doctor: Okay, everyone else has to wait in the waiting room.

They all left and Swiss stayed.
They started taking blood from Dewdrop and looking at the machines he was attached to. They made sure that he could hear, see and feel things. The doctor left the room with the blood tubes to run some tests. Swiss looked at Sodo and caressed Dew's hand. Dewdrop was very pale and weak. They waited a few minutes till the doctor came back.

Doctor: The tests are done and we think we know what caused the faint. Sir, you have anemia.
Swiss: ANEMIA?!
Dewdrop: ...

Swiss looked at Dewdrop but Dew was trying to avoid eye contact. It looked like he knew about the anemia.

Doctor: Sir Dewdrop, have you been eating well lately?
Dewdrop: ... I admit I might eat a little less than others.
Swiss: Dew...
Doctor: I see. Well, you have anemia and we need to fix this so it doesn't happen again.
Dewdrop: Okay, I understand.
Doctor: We're also going to keep you hospitalized as you are in that state and it can be very dangerous, but you can have someone to visit you daily and/or someone that stays at the hospital with you.

Dewdrop looked at Swiss and saw that he was shaking. He took Swiss's hand once again. Swiss looked back at Dewdrop. He looked worried. His eyes were a little bit watery. Swiss felt guilty because he didn't know that Dewdrop was struggling with food. He felt like a bad friend.

Dewdrop: Swiss... would you like to stay overnight?
Swiss: Of course!
Doctor: I have to leave now. Your friends can come in if you want.
Dewdrop: Would you tell them that they can come in, Swiss?
Swiss: Sure.. I'll be right back.

Swiss went to the waiting room and told the ghouls that they could come in and talk to Dewdrop if they wanted. They all started walking to the room where Dewdrop was in. They were all worried and curious about what happened and why he fainted.
Swiss was very quiet the whole time. He was thinking about how he was a bad friend and didn't know his own best friend. Swiss stood completely still on a corner and watched how the other ghouls were talking to Dewdrop. Dewdrop noticed and felt a little guilty for some reason.
After a few minutes the ghouls left the hospital and returned to the hotel. Swiss and Dewdrop were alone in the room. Swiss continued staring at Dewdrop and that made him uncomfortable. (I've never heard an awkward silence this loud)
Dewdrop fell asleep after a while and Swiss kept staring. He was overthinking so much. He felt a lump in the stomach. Seeing his best friend this way broke his heart.
