Isadora's Point Of View
I run my hands through the length of my hair, twisting a piece around my fingers until it is taut. My mind was running circles around the girl I had just encountered within the kitchen. She was a small one, she seemed almost six inches shorter than myself. She had witnessed me stealing from the kitchen staffs collection of cooking knives and the interaction ended with me putting a knife to her throat. I almost ended her right there, it wouldn't have been the first time I saw a Calder student die at the hands of another while being here, but it would be the first person I have killed in the school. But something stopped me. When I looked into her eyes I saw genuine fright. She didnt try to hide it away like everyone else in the school would have. She had her emotions on display and it stopped me from sliding the knife through the soft skin of her throat. I hadn't seen someone who had real emotions in for so long that I completely froze up at the sight of them.
But now I was sitting on the stairs in the main room waiting for the obnoxious chime that would mark the warning for first period. I wasnt the type of person to get held up on the thought of someone, especially someone I hadn't met before but my mind kept replaying the interaction I had with her and it made me want to make sure she was alright but that... that was never going to happen. I am not the type to reassure some girl just because she is scared. Especially since the students here were like animals, she won't make it a week.
When the chime sounds through the school numerous students whine aloud as they shuffle off to their own classes, some also broke off towards the group therapy room that everyone was required to attend.
But thankfully my therapy wasn't until later, instead I had my English course first which always annoyed me seeing as the Jean-fuck faces always decided to harass the poor teacher to the ends of their wits. It made me want to slam their bloody heads together.
I head to my class quickly, people actually stay out of my way as I walk to the room, they all knew who I was but they didn't know why I was sent here. Seeing them scurry away like rats running from a cat was a fun thing to me, I guess there was a perk to being Cyrus Vega's daughter after all.
What I see in the classroom when I make it to the door has me freezing in my spot. The girl who I had just held a knife against in the kitchen was sitting in my usual seat against the wall towards the back of the classroom. I cock my head to the side as a smirk goes over my face. She didn't know what she was getting herself into.
The rest of the students avoid sitting in the seat beside the new girl, knowing that if they had taken my spot themselves that there would be hell to pay. I could even see the dark haired fae who was usually sitting beside me now sitting across the room with his boyfriend, his arm hanging on the back of the wolfs chair.
So I walk into the classroom, taking measured steps until I get to the seat right beside the new girl.
"Hey Isadora!" A girls voice makes me look off to the side to see a witch, her name was Sienna, waving at me. She was my first desk mate and the two of us actually got along quite a bit she only had to change seats when the fae got added to the class since he was being disruptive on the other side.
I nod at her with a slight smirk and then I look at the new girl who Sienna was now gazing at, her mouth dropping into a shape of an o at the sight. It almost made me chuckle at her instant reaction, she knew as well as everyone to not touch my things including my seat since I had threatened to end her one day that she decided to sit against the window.
I slide into the open seat beside the new kid, she was too busy doodling in her notebook to even notice me. Oh how easy it would be for someone to come after her, she had no shield for herself. It made me wonder why she was even here, how could someone like her do anything to deserve being placed here? She seemed too small and weak to do anything worth banishment to Calder Academy.
