taking things slow? | s1 e1

beep beep beep

it was the first day of school and cami had no motivation to get up.

she groaned turning off her alarm clock as she felt arms tighten around her.

"goodmorning" his morning groggy voice was her favorite sound next to his laugh.

she turned around in his arms, now face to face with him.

she studied his face like she had every morning.

"morning" she said with a smile.

he pulled her into a kiss.

as it began to get heated he pulled away making her pout.

she had a frown as he laughed and got up from her bed.

"cmon mimi, cant be late for the first day"

i sighed jumping up from the bed.

this was gonna be a long day.

walking to my closet i threw on one of ants hoodies with black flared leggings and my old white converse.

ant put together an outfit from all the clothes he had left here from when he stayed the night.

so there was a lot of his clothes here.

he was wearing a long sleeve shirt with jeans and nike dunks.

"okay im ready" i said once i finished my makeup.

he looked up from his phone smiling at me.

we walked downstairs hand in hand.

he pulled me towards the kitchen and my breath wavered.

my relationship with food was better than before but not great.

ant helped a lot since we hung out technically everyday but it was still hard.

we had established rules, which i didnt know how they would work since school starts today.

we had 4 rules

1. dont go to the bathroom by myself.

2. be honest about everything.

3. finish atleast 1/4 of my food.

4. call/text him if i ever try and relapse and hes not there.

at first i hated the rules but they grew on me as time passed.

distracted in my own thoughts i hadnt noticed ant moving around the kitchen.

"breakfast is served" that same boyish smile.

taking the plate from his hands i sat at the counter right infront of him.

he grabbed a fork and took at seat right next to me.

when we were on a time crunch ant would usually fed me so i wouldnt just sit there and play with my food.

i finished almost all my food which i didnt really know how to feel about.

"you did such a good job mimi im proud of you" he praised

"how do you feel?" he asked me that regularly ever since i told him i hated the question 'are you okay?'

"i feel good but bad at the same time" i spoke honestly.

he nodded putting my plate in the sink.

i walked towards the door waiting for ant to exit the kitchen.

he walked through the door with a bottle of water.

i grabbed his his hand pulling him out the door.

we walked to school enjoying our last moments together before we got to hell.

okay that might be dramatic but it was close to hell.

cami never really talked to many people at school.

she was the quiet girl.

she used to have lots of friends until she started spending more time in the bathroom than out in the real world.

once she saw the 'HARTLEY HIGH' sign she stopped.

looking at ant.

"how is this going to work?" i was nervous thinking about how people would react.

"i dont know if im ready for all the attention but can we just take it slow?" i bit my lip wait to see his reaction.

he nodded letting go of my hand. "we can take it as slow as you want baby"

my cheeks heated at the affectionate words.

with one final look he walked away towards dusty and spider.

i started walking towards my locker when i heard a girl say, "oi! there's a fully-gacked sеx map in the old stairwell."

as soon as i got there i pushed my way to the front looking at all the names.

then i found mine.

outlined with yellow and orange.

my name was linked to one person.

ant.

well so much for taking it slow.

there was 2 lines between them.

one that said 'secretly dating'.

and the other one was gold meaning destined.

i couldnt hear anything around me.

it was deathly silent.

the only thing she could hear in the moment was her beating heart.

she needed to get out of there suddenly feeling very claustrophobic.

she pushed past spider muttering a quiet sorry as she passed.

she got to the girls bathroom leaning against the wall with her hand on her heart.

she felt hands grip hers but she couldnt focus.

her hands were pulled onto his chest feeling his heart beat.

"can you breathe with me baby" i nodded as best i could.

"in and out" he repeated.

my breathing caught up with his and i could finally focus and look up at his face.

i wrapped my arms around him and put my face to his chest.

"why dont we skip for the rest of the day? would you like that?" i nodded against his chest.

we stayed there for a moment breathing eachother in.

one of the things she loved about ant was he never made her talk about anything after she had a panic attack.

he just understood.

we made it outside school hand in hand.

thankfully everyone was in an assembly so no one saw them leave together.

they walked to her house laying in the bed watching movies for the rest of the day.

she fell asleep entrapped in his arms forgetting everything that happened at school.
