Jacklynn, better known as Jack, had heard plenty about the Hazbin Hotel and its mission to redeem all of the sinners in Hell. Many years ago, Jack wouldn't have believed that to be even a remote possibility. Now though, after hearing about what Princess Charlie had planned, though Jack had no confidence in her own redemption, despite having changed her views over the last few years, the wolf sinner demon did believe that other sinners deserved the chance to try.

Which was how Jack found herself walking down the sidewalk to the hotel. She planned to offer her help to the princess in any way she could. She wasn't entirely sure what help she could bring, but surely the princess would still take whatever help she could get.

Appearance-wise, Jack looked mostly human. She wasn't the craziest of heights, standing at 5'7" tall with a thin build. She was very pale skinned with black hair with red highlights, a pair of wolf ears on top of her head the same color as her hair with purple ends, her eyes had dark red sclera, bright red irises and thin black pupils and her eyelids were an even darker shade of red. She wore a long black hooded overcoat over a red long sleeve button down with the top two buttons left undone over a purple high collared t-shirt, a lose black tie around her neck, black capres pants, suspenders, black boots, and black gloves with red fingers. She also carried a staff with her.

Soon the hotel came into view and Jack took in the view. While it looked a little rundown, Jack could see that it had potential. She walked up the path to the front door and raised her hand to knock, hesitating for a moment before she continued and knocked.

After a couple of minutes, the door opened and a girl with light gray skin and long white hair only an inch or two shorter than Jack opened the door. Jack felt her ears press against her head as she felt a flutter of nervousness.

"Yes?" The girl said. "Can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Charlie Morningstar." Jack said.

"Who's at the door, Vaggie?" A voice called from inside.

Vaggie leaned back in the door, though she kept her one visible eye on Jack as she did so. "It's someone here looking for you."

Soon, the princess of Hell herself was standing beside Vaggie, a wide smile on her face. "Are you here to stay at the hotel and earn redemption?!" She asked excitedly.

"Uh, not exactly." Jack said. "I wanted to talk to you about helping with getting other sinners' redemptions."

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "But don't you want to get redeemed and go to Heaven?"

Jack smiled slightly. "I would, yeah, but I'm pretty sure that's not in the cards for me. I've done too much bad in both my life and afterlife. But I want to do something to make up for it now."

Vaggie narrowed her eyes at Jack before she scowled. "Now I know who you are. You're Jacklynn the Chaos Demon, known to most as Jack after Jack the Ripper. You're a wolf sinner demon who caused all sorts of chaos many years ago. And then one day, you just went quiet. But even so, you're still one of the most powerful Overlords in Hell."

Jack chucked nervously, reaching up to rub under one of her ears. "Yeah, that was me. But not anymore."

Charlie looked at Vaggie. "Come on, Vaggie. Everyone deserves a chance. Even if she doesn't think she can be redeemed, maybe we can still help her."

Vaggie looked at Charlie, then sighed. "Fine, but the first sign of any issues and she's out. I'll kick her out myself."

Charlie squealed and hugged Vaggie tightly before grabbing Jack's hand and pulling her inside. Once inside, Jack pulled her ears tighter against her head as a loud noise went off.

"Sorry about the noise." Charlie said. "We've been having some mechanical difficulties today. I don't know what it is."

"And our lovely facility manager refuses to help both because he finds our struggle to be funny and he hates most modern machines." Vaggie said, coming up behind them.

"I could take a look." Jack said. "Most of these modern machines are after my time but I read a lot and learned a lot of what makes them work."

"Be our guest." Vaggie said, gesturing.

Jack smiled softly and, making her staff appear, she went around looking at the different machines and made adjustments accordingly to make them work again. She made such quick work of the problem that Charlie was bouncing on the balls of her feet by the time she was done.

"That was quick!" Charlie exclaimed. "You should totally be our maintenance manager! We don't have one of those!" Charlie quickly gave the staff rundown to Jack, whose ear twitched at the familiarity of the facility manager's name. As if on cue, a shadow appeared behind Jack and the Radio Demon, Alastor, appeared, his signature smile on his face. His eyes, identical to Jack's own, drifted down until he saw Jack.

"Ah! Jacklynn!" He exclaimed. "It has been a while, hasn't it?"

"Alastor?" Jack said. "But you've been gone for seven years."

"Should we be surprised that you two know each other?" Vaggie asked, crossing her arms.

"Oh, don't you know, my dear, that all Overlords know each other." Alastor said. He put a hand on Jack's shoulder. "Jacklynn and I have just known each other a little longer."

"Well, Jack here is going to be our new maintenance manager." Charlie said.

"With how often everyone around here breaks things, that sounds like a marvelous idea, Charlie." Alastor said. He looked at Jack. "You could even call upon those two souls you have to help here as well."

"Like what you did with Niffty and Husk, I'm sure." Jack said. "I'll ask them, but I won't force them. You know that." Jack snapped her fingers and two forms appeared in front of her. The smaller one, a female with fox ears and a tail, immediately ran up to Jack, throwing her arms around her legs.

"Jack!" she exclaimed.

"Hey there, Magny." Jack said, patting Magny's head and looking up to the other, a male. "Zen, have you two been behaving?"

"Do you really expect anything less?" Zen said.

"I never do with you two." Jack said, smiling. She pulled Magny away from her, addressing both sinners. "Okay, you two. Starting from today, we're working here at this hotel, assisting Princess Charlie in her endeavors to redeem sinners so that they can go to Heaven."

"Is that even possible?" Magny asked, looking at Charlie.

"I want to believe that it can happen." Charlie said.

Zen sighed. "I'm not sure if I believe this yet, but Magny and I will follow Jack anywhere. If she thinks this is a possibility, then we'll follow her here as well."

Jack didn't miss the smirk from Alastor as Zen showed his loyalty to her. Alastor had never believed in this kind of thing, being kind to the souls under his command, though she was sure that Niffty was the exception. Though Jack also had a small suspicion that if anyone could change Alastor's views it would be Charlie.

"Okay then, since Jack is our maintenance manager, how about Magny can help Niffty with housekeeping." Charlie said. "And Zen can be the assistant bartender to Husk. He could probably use the help." Magny and Zen nodded their approval.

Jack smiled. "Alright, than its settled." She said. "Our part in helping the princess realize her dream has begun."
