"Kids we're leaving in 10 minutes" my mum yelled from downstairs.
It was finally Summer my favorite season of the year, I know funny considering it's my name, my mum named me after the season since it was Susannah's and her favorite season. Cousins beach, the most magical place on earth, according to Susannah and I truly believed her. Cousins was magical.
I was in my room packing, Belly and Taylor were packing in her room, I adored the two girls, Belly is my younger sister and Taylor is her best friend. They both look at me like an older sister. Steven my twin, he can annoy the shit out of me but I love him. He's 3 minutes older than me and he never lets it go.
I finished packing and walked downstairs my mum and steven were packing the car, I only had a suitcase and a purse, my sister walked down after me with three suitcases a backpack and a purse.
"Belly really" My mum said looking at all her bags "That won't fit in the car, you need to get rid of one suitcase at least"
"Ughh fine" Belly said walking back inside.
I put my stuff in the car and then got in the passenger seat, the quicker we got there the better. Steven got in the drivers seat beside me not long after, and mum and belly in the back.
"Your driving the second half" Steven said to me
"Finee" I sighed rolling my eyes playfully
To be completely honest I love driving it makes a drive go quicker for me so I didn't mind.
Halfway there we stopped at a gas station, Belly and my mum went in for toilet break and to get snacks, me and Steven swapped.
"Hey Summer I got you cheetos" Belly said getting back in the car
"I'm not hungry Steven can have them" I said as I started to drive.
As we pulled into the drive way Belly squealed jumping out of the car I chuckled to myself. Steven and my mum got out afterwards. I got out seeing Jeremiah and Susannah coming out of the front door. I ran straight to Susannah hugging her.
"Oh my goodness I missed you beautiful girl" Susannah said hugging me back
"I missed you more" I said
Susannah was like my second mum I loved her so much, I could tell her anything.
We let go and Susannah hugged my mum, I turned around to be engulfed in a hug.
"I missed you sum" I heard Jeremiah say hugging me tight
"Aww I missed you too Jere" I said wrapping my arms around his neck, I had to stand on my tippy toes he had gotten a lot taller, he let go smiling at me then ran to belly.
I turned around again and saw Conrad walking towards everyone he was looking straight at me, but then Belly went up to him and they started talking to each other, I smiled at them, Belly had the biggest crush on him for like forever.
"Summer, I have to show you something" Susannah said
I followed her and my mum in the front door, they walked to Susannah's bedroom.
"Sweetie I wanted to give you a present" Susannah said
"What no you shouldn't have" I said smiling sadly at her
"No we missed your birthday I had to get you something super special" Susannah said handing me a box
I opened it, my god it was gorgeous.

"Oh my, Susannah, this must've cost a fortune, you didn't have to" I said almost in tears
"Oh sweetheart I promise it was thought out, Laurel said you had been wanting a neckless for a while, Connie picked this one out, he said it would look perfect on you, normally he doesn't give his opinion with gifts, but he begged me to get this one" She said smiling down at me as tears streamed down my face.
"Oh Susannah I love it, it's perfect, Connie was right" I said smiling through the tears, getting up to hug her.
I went to my room and sat on my bed staring at the necklace, I started crying again, I don't know why I was so emotional but I just was. Someone knocked on my door.
"Come in" I said hiding the necklace and wiping my tears away as the door opened.
"Hey sum I never go to say hi so I..." He stopped looking at my face
Conrads POV:
After throwing Belly in the pool, she pulled me in with her. I went up to my room to dry off and get changed, I put on grey sweatpants but didn't put on a shirt. I remembered I forgot to say hi to Summer so I walked to her room and knocked on the door.
"Come in" I heard her say through the door, I opened the door.
"Hey sum I never got to say hi so I..." I started then turned to look at her I stopped talking instantly, her face, her eyes were red and puffy it look as though she had been crying for a while.
"Summer what's wrong" I said looking concerned and sitting on her bed next to her putting my hand on her knee.
"Uh nothing" she said trying to act fine "I'm going to go downstairs" she said getting up avoiding my eye
"What no sum" I said getting up and grabbing her arm before she got to the door
She turned to face me, we both didn't realise how close our faces were.
