"So what?" Onika walked into the room, leaning against the wall with a frown. "You're going to ignore me now?"
I looked up from my laptop and leaned back against the headboard, "I wasn't ignoring you Onika. You were in the room with Azari."
She bit her lip, more so nervously. What the fuck is she nervous about? "Are you calm enough to talk to me?" She asked me, moving all her weight to her right leg.
"I feel like we talked enough. I'm not mad at you." I didn't have much to say anymore. I was pissed seeing the paragraph that Onika sent Riley. It made my blood boil but I knew I couldn't blame anybody but myself.
What was I thinking getting between her and her girlfriend of two years? Even worse, what was I thinking expecting her to be over Riley so quickly?
She came over to the bed and pushed her hands on the mattress as she kicked off her house slippers. "Well, I just wanted to apologize."
Shutting my computer, I turned to face her and tilted my head, "For what?"
She tilted her head the same way I did, raising her brow. "Why you gotta look at me like that? We 'posed to be talking."
"We are talking. What the fuck are you talking about?" I replied, smartly.
She squinted her eyes slightly, climbing onto the bed and sitting against the headboard. "I don't know what the fuck you got going on but you need to talk to me like you got some fuckin' sense. Everybody is so fucking disrespectful and I keep being so cool about it, this shit is started to piss me off."
I scrunched my face up, "How am I being rude? I asked you a question."
She leaned forward, a good foot away from me but staring me right in my face. "I don't like your tone, fix it. You don't get to grit in my face like I'm a random ass bitch."
I rolled my eyes, "You came in here to talk, okay? So why are we about to argue again?"
She looked around the room and her nostrils flared as she took a breath in and out. "I'm calm, you calm?"
I shrugged, "I'm calm Onika."
"Okay so you said we shouldn't move in together and I just-"
"I don't think we should never move in together, I just think that right now isn't the time. You just got out of a relationship and it was stupid for me to even-" She cut me off, grabbing my face and I was honestly taken back by her snatching me to her.
"You didn't break up shit Beyoncé. Riley and I were never going to last." She spoke sternly, tightening her grip on my jaw. "Don't fix your mouth to even say that."
I grabbed her wrist. "Stop being delusional, you were in love with her."
She rolled her eyes, "Delusional my ass. The entire time I was with her all I could think about was you. Every time you came to pick up Zari I had to remind myself that I was in a relationship. Two years doing that was hard enough, I'm not about to let Riley ruin what we got going on right now."
