Rolling in my sheet I groan hearing my mom's loud voice

Everybody else quiet eno n she just haffi deh make this bagga noise

I got up n walk to my door opening it wrapped in sheet from head to toe

"Mommy?" I shout

She didn't answer so I shouted again

"What is it?" She answers down the hall

"Can't you tone down a bit"

She laughs out

"When yu have your own place Yu tell mi fi tone down" she hiss her teeth n was mumbling

Once more in front my bed I fall on it only for the door to open

Sighing outloud I lift my head a bit

"I just wanted to ask a question, jeez" my younger sister stated sitting on my bed

"Talk nuh"

"Can help mi later?"

"No" I answer bluntly

"But-"

"But nun"

Pushing my face down into my pillow while she complains then eventually left

Mi sneak this likkle girl out with mi once only fi she feel like a everyday thing

As soon as I was about to fall asleep mommy started playing music

Standing at the back door at the kitchen I saw my neighbor walk outside

I held my head down taking small glances at him before he went in

Mommy n daddy moved us here like 2 years ago, when I first came I was nice to everybody until them start show them duty colors

All the boy over deh so, call to him two time n him nuh answer. My fault still shouldn't call to him a second time

When them have money them move like them better than everybody

I hiss my teeth out loud

"Stop kiss up Yu teeth ina mi kitchen"

I rolled my eyes discreetly at my mom

I did realize I had gotten lost in thought until I smelled a familiar cologne

Swifty spinning I  saw my dad the  immediately smile

"Hi daddy"

"Hi babygirl" he hugged me and I held my hand out erupting a laugh from him

"Yu daughter nuh easy eno" he then hands me some donuts he got me

I smile as soon as the smell hit my nose

My dad is a police officer, he works night shifts basically all the time and my mom is a housewife as she likes to say

We aren't rich but we get by, I've gotten all the things I wanted and I'm grateful

We lived in a five bedroom house

My brother is hardly ever here though but his room is still here

I left to my room as soon as my parents started kissing n doing lovey dovey stuff like ewwwww, gross, go away
