"An arranged marriage? Are you out of you're fucking mind!?" Phuwin questioned towards his parents, face clearly furious as he held a piece of paper. A paper that was the evidence of his parent's agreement to marry him off.

"Phuwin! Watch your language." Phuwin's dad warned, pointing his finger at him. As intimidating and scary his dad looked, Phuwin felt no fear from the man's warning. It was his dad after all, and he had been used to his father's empty threats.

"It's better this way, you haven't had any partners in the past so we're choosing one for you. One whose suitable for you in many ways." his mother interjected. She held on to her husband's shoulder and gently caressed it to calm him down. This seemed to have worked because her husband took a deep breath and tried to relax.

Both of them knew fighting with their son was bad, both for their relationship and health. Her husband is sick and stressing him out like this would just make it worse.

"Suitable my ass! My love life is not yours to control." Phuwin spat out and smashed the paper onto the table in front of his parents. After doing so, he turned around and left the room, his feet heavy as each step was fueled with anger. An anger that he wanted to vent but couldn't for now.

Phuwin's father rubbed his temples with his hand as he took another deep breath. Meanwhile, his wife kept on caressing his back to help him relax.

"He'll understand it, someday." his wife reassured.

While the two couple's were left in the room, Phuwin decided not to head back to his room, instead he headed off to their backyard. Behind their manor was a large backyard, although it might not even be called a backyard with how much big it is. Behind it was an amazing yard, filled with shrubs cut to various dynamic shapes.

A few sections of flowers also occupied the place as the colors were still vibrantly noticeable even though it was dark now.

But this wasn't the place Phuwin was heading off to, he was headed somewhere only he knew of. Behind the tall walls that surrounded their backyard, was a peaceful spot that he always goes to whenever he felt sad or just wants a break from things.

After walking towards the walls, there was one area of the walls that was covered in moss and vines, he slowly parted the vines with his hands and it revealed a small hole. After examining it for a few seconds, he went through it.

He had been here so many times yet the view was still magnificent as the first time he had been here.
From the corner of his eyes, he could see a familiar tree. He headed towards it and climbed up.

It was the same tree he had been hanging out on. He always hang here to read, write or just chill. And this time, he's using it to calm himself down.

He took a deep breath and enjoyed the view. "If only life could be this peaceful."

He could feel himself slowly feeling sleepy. He adjusted his position and closed his eyes. His ears savouring the angelic song of the crickets at night.

Just as he was about to fall asleep something disturbed him. Loud rustling sounds of the bushes disturbed the calm night. He could feel some weird foot steps. An unfamiliar patter of an animal's foot step echoing throughout the woods.

Sweat formed on his forehead as he felt scared. Scared of what might appear from the bushes.

Just like the jumpscares on every horror movies, something jumped out of the bushes, scaring Phuwin. He hurriedly tried to climb down, and with the place being dark, he mistakenly placed his foot on the wrong branch and fell.

A painful hiss left his mouth as he moaned in pain. Luckily he didn't fell too high, but he did land on his back, and from how far he fell, it was enough to cause pain.
