Chapter 47: The frozen land, Iceland

Brent: Our first stage is a whopper. A dead sprint across the North Atlantic.

Colin: That's right, Brent. This is how it works, folks. The winner of the leg today is the first to take off tomorrow.

All air racers are flying high in the air at high speed.

Moreover, Dusty is flying at low altitude.

But the real problem is, the sky is covered with dark clouds and the sea is covered with icebergs. Unluckily, a strong blizzard is coming down, obstructing visibility and making it difficult to maintain balance. However, Dusty shivers from the cold, but he don't give up and continues to fly through the blizzard.

- Pit (Iceland) -

This is Iceland, in the pit, air racers warm themselves around fires.

Then, Dusty opens the door and shivers as he enters the pit.

"Dusty!" Kevin approaches him, worried.

"Are you okay? You're almost freezing." Kevin asks as they walk along. At that moment, someone laughs at them and they turn their heads.

"Hey, look who's finally here! It's that low-flying farmer boy!" Zed announces sarcastically.

"So?" Kevin asks.

"You do know this is a race, right?" Ripslinger taunts sarcastically, and Ned and Zed laugh. "That's a good one, boss."

"Let's go, Dusty." Kevin looks away from them in disapproval. And he goes with Dusty.

Meanwhile, on the other side,

"Excuse me, how much does a snow plow weigh?" Chupacabra asks Rochelle.

"Je ne sais pas. I do not know," she answered.

"Enough to break the ice. I am El Chupacabra." He introduces himself to her. Lena, who happens to be sitting at a distance, watches them cautiously.

"Ah. You are the snow plow, oui? " Rochelle realized what he was doing.

"You could say that, yes," Chupacabra answered.

"And I am the ice?" Rochelle urges. "Yes," he answers, dreamily.

"Cold, frozen and lifeless?" Rochelle tells the Chupacabra that's what she sees herself as.

"No, I... it sounds better in Spanish." Chupacabra makes excuses.

Rochelle snorts. "Why don't you go plow yourself, El Chu-toy?" Then Rochelle scoffs at him and flies away, and she hits his propeller with her wings.

Then, the Chupacabra stops spinning his propeller after she leaves. "She is like an angel."

"(Oh, El Chu...)" Lena shakes her head, looking at the Chupacabra pitifully. Then she gets up and goes to the bathroom.

Also, Robin catches his eye as his sister walks by. Then, he looks at the fire in the hearth and thinks deeply.

That night,

Robin hears Xross and Centh's conversation from a distance.

Centh releases the shadow tentacles that bind Xross. He then holds out his hand for his old friend to help up, but Xross slaps his hand away with a growl, and he stands up himself. He also brushes the dust off his clothes. He then frowns and glares at the traitor. Then Centh looks at his old friend with a slackened face and a smile. Then Centh turns around and walks away, and Xross turns around and walks away as well.
