Since you were young, you always felt weak. That's probably because you were born weak. You had PI(primary immunodeficiency), and luckily you were able to be treated from the moment your head popped out of your mother. Being born with an autoimmune disorder wasn't ever on your bingo card, but you honestly could've had it way worse. PI will forever be a part of your life, but at the very least your treatment allows you to live a pretty normal life; you were just frail.
So when you told your parents you wanted to enroll in Jujutsu High. This private academy hones in on students' physical capabilities rather than their academics, they were a little hysterical. And of course, they asked you why you wanted to go in the first place, knowing your condition.
"You'll be killed!" Your mother was always so incredibly dramatic. She just wanted her baby to be safe, after all.
"You know how easily you get sick, you'll land in the hospital in no time and then miss your schooling and you'll fail!" your father would nag. They always had been so overprotective of you. You couldn't hate them for it, especially with what you were born with. But you knew if you were careful you'd be able to make it through.
You told your parents that this school could help you feel less weak; to be able to face the world like a normal human being who didn't have to take pills every day and get treatment regularly because the wind picked up and you caught a cold that somehow turned into the flu. You were tired of being shut in all the time.
This seemed to convince them, but they were still incredibly weary of you enrolling into the school in the first place. You were able to convince them that stepping out of your comfort zone wouldn't kill you and even help you battle your autoimmune disorder.
You couldn't have been more excited to enroll in a school like this, not just because you'd be able to at least pretend to be normal for four years before going back into your family's home for the rest of your days, but also because of a certain someone.
Growing up, you couldn't have a lot of friends. One, you were socially awkward (i mean, you're reading this so I can't be too far off right?) and two, because of your disorder. There was only one person your parents had introduced to you when you were younger, and that was Suguru Geto.
Your two families were close with each other, and although the world has mostly pushed past those old traditional family values, yours still clings to them. Your parents weren't exactly pushing you and Suguru into an arranged marriage, the two families just hoped that if the two of you only spent time with each other it would happen naturally.
Did you like this? Well, you didn't think it mattered too much. Your parents, although they wanted you to end up being with Suguru as you were the last born of your family name, would still be okay if you ended up with someone else. Suguru's parents, on the other hand, were not so kind. They needed you to end up with Suguru.
"Y/n, this is Suguru. He will be your future husband," Your little eight-year-old self looked at the black-haired boy in front of you and simply stared blankly. Future husband?
"Aki please, they're just children!" You heard your mother fuss from behind you. The boy known as Suguru had a tiny ponytail and wore a simple black yukata and sandals. Both of your families stood on very traditional Japanese views and shunned modern societies and the new norms everyone else had conformed to.
