"AND THE STAR PLAYER SCORES ANOTHER POINT FOR HIS TEAM!!" shouted the announcer.
Geralt had heard that statement before, too many times in his opinion. he had just won the last football game before winter break, which started in November, after this game. but he wanted the break to start now. he was tired of the same routine of train, play, win, party. he really just wanted to graduate. it's not that he hated football, he actually really enjoyed it. he had a lot of anger issues growing up, and football helped him release those feelings.
but then he graduated high school, and his parents expected him to get a scholarship. well, his mother did. he never knew his father. he never spent much time at home. he had lived in the dorms for the past 3 years. he graduated next year. then he would go off to be some big star on TV or something like that. but he just wanted to play for fun with his friends Lambert, Coen, and Eskel. and of course, his girlfriend would hate it if Geralt forgot about her, even if it was on accident. Yen was a year younger than Geralt, and he would graduate before her. she was the head Cheerleader and boy was she good at it. Geralt fell in love with her as soon as they played their first game together, him making a touchdown and her cheering him on as he ran across the field. he often went out to the football field to watch her practice with her team, he knew the names of some of them, like Sabrina, Triss and Lydia, the others he didn't know. but despite all of the beautiful girls, Yen was the only one who caught his eye.
she was small, but athletic as well. she had long dark raven hair, and dark skin. and her eyes. her eyes were a deep hazel brown. there was something mysterious about them. he looked at them and was unable to look away. he was smitten with her. how could he forget about her? but, what if he did? what if....
"G! are you listening?" Geralt heard Lamberts voice call out, pulling him out of his thoughts.
"Hmm? what did you ask?" Geralt asked.
"I didn't ask anything," Lambert said. "I said we should go to one of the parties around campus to celebrate the win."
"Oh. I'm not feeling very... party-Ish," Geralt said. it was true. he just wanted to go back to the dorms. "I think I'll just go change and go back to the dorms."
"C'mon man! this is our 7th win in a row!!" Coen exclaimed. "You feelin' alright?"
then Yen chimed in. "I heard of this club from Sabrina. it's supposed to be really cool. we should go to that! that'll clear your blues babe, " she said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"I don't know..." Geralt really just wanted to go to bed. but he didn't want to disappoint Yen.
"I think it's a great idea. I've never been to a club before," Eskel said. "Sounds like fun. C'mon G. what do ya say?"
Geralt hesitated. "........ Alright, I'll go," he said.
they all cheered. "Thats the spirit G!" Lambert Said, Patting Geralt on the back. and with that, they all changed, and Yen drove them to the club that Sabrina suggested. Sabrina has a dirty mind, Geralt thought to himself, I hope this isn't some ploy to get me drunk.
