"What do you mean Ricky is dead?!" I said
"Well Imani called me 2 days after DeAntae got shot, that Ricky was gunned down."Brandon explained to me
"Well then why did tis unknown number text me yesterday saying they're not done with him"
"Maybe they havent heard but Ricky is dead"
"Oh my.. I have to go speak to Imani, can you stay here with DeAntae?"
"Sure."
I pulled out my phone to text Imani
(CONVERSATION)
"Can You Meet Me At Dennys in 30 minutes."
56 seconds later...
"Sure"
(End of Conversation)
"Okay text or call me if anything changes with DeAntae." I said grabbing My Keys and leaving
I needed to stop by my apartments to freshen up, I havent been home in 2 days, and then I was on my way.
At Dennys...
"Hey Imani How are you?" I said giving her a hug

"Its okay, It feels the same. He was never really around. He would just come home from work and go to sleep. I never really told anyone this, but Ricky also was raping me." I said to Na Na not bearing to look at her
"Imani How come you never DeAntae about this." Na Na said to me concerned
"Because DeAntae wouldve killed him.'
"Imani you gotta think about whats best for you, and youre his sister so you shouldve told him. And I dont think DeAntae wouldve killed him probably hurt him a little but not kill him."
"Na Na you might think you know DeAntae but there are some things you should know. DeAntae is capable of alot of things"
"What kind of things? "
"'When DeAntae was a freshman in high school back home in Chicago, He was in the drug game. He used to work for this man called BUG he kinna looked like Biggie.( If you read my other book Gunned Down you would know that DeAntae is Tj and Imani is Ti Ti I just gave them new names. But Carry on) DeAntae had a childhood-bestfriend name Kyle who was in the game to. So one night him and Kyle were doing their usual and something aint go right and Kyle ended up getting shot."
"Why was he in the game in the first place?"
"Our mama had cancer and she got laid off . Also our daddy was never there. So DeAntae felt that a part-time nor full-time job was gone pay the bills. So he got into the drug game. Then Kyle got shot and 2 months later our mama past. So DeAntae made a promise to his-self and me that we would have better. DeAntae knew Brandon stayed out in Houston so He moved us out here to start our new lives "
"How come DeAntae never told me this"
"Because DeAntae Could not bear to think about what happend back in Chicago.So he doesnt speak on it very much.

*phone beeps*
"DEANTAE IS AWAKE!" Na Na said jumping up
"Really we have to leave now!" I said leave 5$ on the table and grabbing Na Na
