There's always been a certain level of consciousness that you have even when you're supposedly subconscious.
Like you can recall conversations those around you had, while you were sleeping. Or if someone was with you before you fell asleep and left during, you'd know.If someone were to whisper your name in the dead of night, you'd hear it.
Maybe it's paranoia or the universe trying to help you out, you wouldn't know, but you've always been instinctive and intuitive.
You take pride in your weird little... quality, but more than anything to those around you, it's creepy. You groan when you register that you're eyes are just slightly opened and the sudden light blinds you. You can hardly make anything out, besides from figures. Tall, broad figures. They're too blurry; your eyes. It's annoying.
There's this itch and you squirm a bit as if in hopes you could scratch at it.
Honestly, you can hardly function right now. But your skin tingles and you perk up slightly, willing your eyes to clear as you blink a few times. Your efforts are in vain, as it only proves to make it worse.
You're conscious enough to know two people are in this room with you. Two men, based on how frigging tall they seem to be. You don't feel scared in a way that would make you question if you were about to die, but rather... because you feel as if these men are what make you weak, yet powerful all at the same time.
Yet right now, you feel extremely vulnerable.
Your arms quiver slightly and you just know it's because they're getting closer. You have the urge to run, but where?
You don't dare to speak or try to break the silence, afraid that if you were to break something as fragile as that all hell would break loose and there would lie your pending demise.
There's that itch again. You feel a small trickle by your ear and you jolt. It was so silent, you're ears started to ring but finally... a deep chuckle reverberated around the rim of your ear and licked at your soul; somewhere so deep inside you, you didn't know what to do with it.
So close.
He was so close. That itch... wasn't something you could scratch until you were satisfied. He would remain constant in your life from this point on, you just didn't want to believe it. You didn't want to believe they won.
That tingle got stronger as if jealous that the itch was getting more attention than it and suddenly you were a lot more aware of your surroundings than you were initially.
A hand snuck it's way underneath your shirt, lazily drawing patterns on your warm skin. It made you quiver even harder than before and you saw the teasing stretch of lips that stood above you.
Lips you thought so innocent yet now... you know you were mistaken.
It's too late now. He's here— and he's ready to devour you. It's clear in the way he licks his lips menacingly, teasing you with the thought.
Your vision cleared and you saw those daunting blue eyes peer down at you, but still completely aware of another's presence you slowly and cautiously dare to turn your head to the side to steal even a glance. Like a child, checking to see if a demon lurked in the corner or if they were safe.
Another pair of eyes stare back at you in the dimmed room, glowing with mischief and... something else that you can only describe as hunger.
You feel as if you have utterly fucked up. That trying these men, was the last thing you should've done. Pushing these men to their limits and trying to rip away their relief wasn't the brightest thing you've done.
But you didn't know. You were oblivious to how deep that thing in their veins ran. That thing that made them crazy, yet so shamelessly aware of it that it also made them dangerous.
And maybe that's why you were not-so-blissfully ignorant and thought you were terribly terrified.
When really. . .
That's why you were excited.
