Love Is Possible

  It's time for me to get up, which I am not ready for. I have a big day ahead of me, but someone needs to do it. My name is Clementine and today I have to work on the walls of the school that we're in. (Little side note, she still has both of her legs because I hated that they did that to my girl 😭).

      Okay, stop procrastinating and get up Clem, you have the strength to do this today. Just gonna grab my hat and get ready to go outside for the day. I walk outside after I put my hat on and change clothes. As soon as I get outside, I look for Aj and I notice him at one of the picnic tables, playing with Tenn.

       I suddenly felt a small kiss on my cheek and look to my side, just to see Louis. "Hey Clem! You ready to help me with the walls today?" I glare at him because he already knows the answer to that "oh c'mon love! It'll be fine. It's hard work, but someone has to do it." He's always so cheery and kind, I love that about him.

      "I guess so. Are we doing the front side first?" He nods and points to the holes in the wall "they aren't very big, but you can never be too careful. I'm gonna go get some wood to patch them up and you can talk to Aj for a bit!" He kissed my forehead and walked off. Rubbed my eyes and walked over to where Aj and Tenn were.

"Hey boys. What are you two doing?" I sat down next to them and Aj told me "we're having an art competition! I'm feeling confident today." I looked at both of their drawings, Tenn's looking a bit more detailed, and said "you're both amazing at this." They both sat there in silence and said "Done!" At the same time.

They then showed me their drawings and asked "whose is better?" I hate when they make me choose, they're both amazing at it. "Hmm. I would say that Tenn's is better when it comes to detail and yours is better when it comes to imagination." Aj sighed and asked "who wins then?" I smiled and said "you both win! Just in your own way."

      They smiled and compared their drawings to each other. "Why don't you two draw together, with both of your ideas? That's better than being in competition." Tenn nodded "I agree. You have some good imagination Aj. I'll draw what you're imagining, whatever you'd like." Aj got excited "okay! Let's go!"

     That was my quo to leave and let them be. I got up and walked over to help Louis with the wood. He had just came back from grabbing it and needed some help carrying it all. We went over to the gate with the wood and nails, then set it all down.

      "So, who's all doing what today?" I asked him and he told me "Aasim and Ruby are working on some traps outside the walls today, Willy is on lookout currently, Omar is collecting things for dinner, and Violet is still kinda recovering." I understand that and we got started on the walls.

I'd say about an hour and a half later, we finished with the walls and sat down for a break before we went to check on the others. "What are the boys doing?" Louis asked and I said "they were drawing together earlier, but they're on watch now. Willy should be either helping them or Omar."

     Louis laughed and told me "who knew life could be so great in a zombie apocalypse?" Not this guy!" I looked at him and smiled. I love him so much, he's got a great sense of humor and knows how to be positive. He caught me looking at him and smiled too. We slowly leaned forward and kissed.

"Hey! No smooching! We got things to do!" Willy said to us, making us pull away from one another. "Correct you are sir! Does someone need us for something?" Louis asked and Willy told us "well, I think it would be best to check on Violet, right?" I nodded "you're right. We'll go check on her."
