Let Go

Welcome back! As you already know, I'm obsessed with this couple and I'm so excited to make more chapters for it. Hope you enjoy! ❤️

I feel myself starting to wake up and I blink a few times. As I go to get up, I got pulled back down onto the bed. Louis spoke up, "a little bit longerrrr" I giggled and told him "we have to wake up. Aj isn't in his bed and we have things to do."

He reluctantly agreed and got up with me to get ready for the day. We grab our clothes and I open up the door to go change, then he asked "why do you need to leave?" I blushed and asked "why wouldn't I?" He pulled me back into the room, kissed me, and told me "you can change in here if you want love."

Honestly, I'm still quite insecure and shy when it comes to my body, but he's already seen me naked and he loves me for me. "Okay, you better actually enjoy my body though!" I told him and began to undress myself, he did the same.

We got changed and after a few kisses, a bit of touching too, we went outside to join the others. When we got outside, we saw everyone getting along and laughing, which is a very nice sight to see. Usually Louis is the only one who's in high spirits anymore. That's one of the main reasons why I'm with him.

The only person I didn't see was Willy, which is odd, because he's usually playing with the other boys. Louis went to talk to the others and I looked around for Willy. Eventually, I found him, at Mitch's grave (Mitch was a guy who liked bombs and destruction. He died in order to protect Tenn).

I rubbed his back and asked "are you okay?" He sighed and told me "yeah..I just miss him so much...I never really got to tell him how much he meant to me." I did my best to show him that I cared and to make him feel better. After a big hug; he picked a flower that was by a rock and placed it on Mitch's grave.

Then he left and as I was standing there by myself in the graveyard, I understood how he felt. I looked at all of the graves and read them off in my head: Mitch, Mrs. Martin, Brody, and Marlon. They were all great people, from what I had heard of, and I wish I could've done more to prevent their deaths.

There's nothing I can do about them now. I have to pay attention to the people who are alive and keep them as safe as possible. I need to prevent as many deaths as I can until this fucking apocalypse ends. I shake my head and get the upsetting thoughts out, then I walk back to where the group is

Louis had brought out his cards again and I heard him say "you lose again?! That's crazy!" I listened to what everyone was saying, in order to understand this new game that Louis had made up. I heard Tenn say "this game is actually fun and educational..my favorite." That's something him and I could agree on because I love educational games!

I sat next to Louis and asked him "what are you guys playing now?" He looked at me with a smile "we're playing a math game with cards! I ask a math question and whoever answers first, with the right answer, gets to ask anyone here whatever questions they have." This was definitely my definition of a fun card game, I really liked school before all this.

I don't think I should join today though! I like watching everyone play Louis' card games; he's such a goofball. Also, it was nice to see Willy sitting with us, playing a card game with a smile on his face. As I was watching everyone play, Aasim had guess right and asked Louis "so, Mr. Innocent and sweet...how did Clem get all those hickeys?"

Not only was I not expecting anyone to notice, but I also wasn't expecting someone like Aasim to comment on it. As a quick response I said "t-they aren't hickeys! Just b-bruises!" Everyone looked at us with a face of "don't believe you" but I kept with my story! I looked over to Louis to see his reaction and he was a lot more calm than I had anticipated.

After that embarrassing question...we heard a horde of walkers outside. They probably heard all of us laughing about the game. Ruby and I went to the tower with our bow and arrows in hand. Violet made sure the gate and walls were secure. Louis, Aj, and Willy went behind the small brick wall, aiming their weapons. Aasim, Omar, and Tenn went to shoot their weapons through the gate.

There were so, so many of them and it was hard to make sure we had killed them all. Eventually though, a few of us went outside after the attack to check our traps and make sure that none were left alive. Louis and I made sure that no one stepped on any traps that weren't triggered.

After we checked all the traps and killed any walkers that were alive; we went back inside. This was where we needed to decide something for the group. Using the school as a home base isn't a bad idea, at all, but the lack of food and water is a big problem. Also, we need to start considering about what we need to do when we run out of resources for the gate and walls. That'll be the end of us.

"Guys, do you realize that this can't be a home base forever?" Everyone looked at me and Violet asked me "why? It's a lot safer than other places and moving areas with..well...useless people like me can kill us." Louis was quick to say "hey! None of us here are useless, we all have our own things that we contribute to here."

Of course, he's very right about that, but we still have to think about what to do. "Ever since the bandits destroyed our fishing house and barn, the only chance at getting food or water for us, we've barely been surviving." I stated and everyone knows I'm right. I don't think this place can be a forever home...or any place..unfortunately.

"Clem's right guys. She's always made the right choices! You have to remember that she just wants the best for us." Aj chimes in and defends me in my opinion. However, some others disagree too "what about our gravesite? It wouldn't feel right leaving them behind Clem." Willy told me and I do understand that, but we can't keep focusing on the dead or we'll join them too.

I sighed and said "I'm sorry, but if we worry too much about people who are already dead, then we'll join them eventually. I don't want to be rude to anyone or invalidate their opinions, but I'm just trying to think about the whole group and our future here." They have to realize that this place isn't as safe as they think it is!

"Seriously Clem? That's not only insensitive but it's also incorrect. We've been doing okay here and I don't see why we need to leave so suddenly." Ruby told me and I was starting to get a bit irritated because all I want to do is help us survive. Louis noticed my anger and gave me a quick kiss on my cheek to calm me down.

It worked and after a few quick breaths, I was willing to hear everyone else out. There were a lot of different opinions in the group, so I asked "would you all feel comfortable with doing a vote? You can vote to stay here or vote to leave. Either way, we'll probably be able to figure it out."

We all agreed to this and I gave them all a small slip of paper and pencils. After we all wrote down our answers, I read them off. In the end, it was decided that we should leave here and that decision would be executed as quickly as possible. "I'm sorry to whoever wanted to stay in this school, but please, please believe when I say that I just want us to be safe and sound."

Everyone ended up agreeing and listening, besides Willy. I understand how upset he is though and why he's upset. "Where do we go now though love?" Louis asked me and I replied "I'm not 100% sure. Getting on a boat to an island would be safe, but not practical for food." Ruby noticed what I said and told me "actually, since we would be on an island, we could use the pots we have to boil water, make sure we can drink it. Then, plant some fruits and vegetables."

It honestly doesn't sound like the worst idea. There wouldn't be any walkers, as far as I know of, and there's a way for us to keep getting both food and water. We soon decided to come up with a plan, a way to quickly move out of here and get this whole operation started. The first thing we needed though, was a boat, and I remember how hard it was for Kenny to find one. Hopefully, it's not as difficult for us to find one..

Hiii! It took me forever to write this because I had so many different ideas for it, but I finally picked one. So, I hope someone enjoys and have a wonderful day/night! ❤️
