Chapter 15

I've been on a call with Lillah while getting my things ready for school tommorow. We've been bonding about random things we both like, getting to know eachother better and just laughing over weird things.

Until I brought up my stepbrother.
"Has Daniel always been this cold" I ask.

"He's not really cold hearted, just really tough. For good reasons. He's been through alot." she replies

"Like what?." I question sitting down suddenly more interested in the conversation

"That's not my story to tell."  she says

"That's ohkay. I understand."  I say.

i then hear a knock on my door.
"I gotta go."

"Ohkay, see you at school tomorrow". she says

"Who is it!?" I shout after I put the phone off.

"It's me. Richard"

oh.

I open the door. "what an unexpected visit" I say smiling with my one hand holding the door.

"I just wanted to say. That I know this must not be easy for you. But I'm glad you're taking it well. And I really appreciate you respecting me" he says.
"I don't know what teenagers like these days. But I just asked Daniel to pick out something" he then hands me keys.

I take it with a frown on my face hoping it's what I think it is.

I look at the key chain and it's a key for Mustang. "Are you serious!?"

He smiles and I run downstairs to the garage. I run past a few cars and see the black mustang.

He catches up smiling and stands at a distance. I look at him "Thank you!!!!"
he nods in response.

"Well don't just stand there take it for a ride" he says gesturing to the car.

"But it's late mom would-"

"Don't worry about her. I'll keep her occupied for a while"

That's gross.

I simply nod and get in.

I then driff off out of the neighborhood. I drive to get a sight of the ocean and some other sights. It feels calming and free.

After an hour of driving I park the car and head up to my room.

I open my door and see Daniel standing by my bed. He turns and faces me.

"What are you doing in my room?" I ask

"Just came to drop off something" he says "I see you got a new car hope we can race sometime" he says and starts to  walk off.

I roll my eyes

"I saw that"  

"Good"
