"What exactly is wrong with it?"

You asked and looked around inside the elevator, your eyes darting around  eyeing the railing, the buttons, the weird camera above, everything.

You shrugged, shifting the bag of tools to your left hand as the right had become numb from your tight grip.

"I don't see a problem sir." They sighed and rubbed the bridge of their nose before pointing their hand back out.

"There's something seemingly wrong with the lights, there's been complaints about the lights flickering or stuff falling out of it."

You raised an eyebrow. "Stuff falling out of it? you sure this elevator itself even works itself?"

Their eyes narrowed down at here. "I paid you to fix the lights, not act smart."

You grumbled rolling your eyes and putting the bag over your shoulder in an attempt for your hands to rest.

"Right on it, sir.."

They walked away and you looked back in the elevator. from what it seemed it looked like any normal elevator you'd find.

You dropped the bag onto the floor while squinting up at the lights, they were pretty bright. that could've been one of the problems, the people complaining about not being able to see after entering.

You were busy thinking insults about it to even notice the elevator door shut by itself.

"Hey, you're not gonna get a ladder for me or anything?" you called out. the lack of response annoyed you and you turned around. "damn it, didn't ya hear me?"

Your eyes widened slightly at the closed door and you were puzzled. Shouldn't the elevator have been closed off for today? why were there people getting on it?

The buttons lit up and the floor started going down. At this point you were a bit worried, and kept pondering about the situation.

Right next to the numberless buttons clicked there was a twenty second countdown, and your eyes were fixated on that.

You clutched your shirt nervously as your breath started getting shaky.

Getting on this damn elevator was a mistake.
