"Subhadra?", Vaishnavi called her, basically screamed. They both turned to her as she went towards them.
'Oh! Yeah! They are supposed to end up marrying each other and have a son who will continue this lineage. What was I even thinking? Wait was I even thinking about anything?'
"Vaishu? What happened? Why are you in a rush?", Subhadra asked her sister. "Rush? Haha no no no! I'm just too excited to see you, haha", she replied hesitantly.
'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING VAISHU. Keep your head straight and finish your work"
They both looked at her weirdly. She composed herself and said, "Well, I came to call you both for lunch, and Rajkumar Arjun, your brothers are waiting for you, so please wrap it up soon and come there", she said and Power Walked away. "Is your sister angry with something or someone?", Arjun asked confused. "No no, she is like that. She is just like my brother Balram. They both won't keep anything to themselves and say that straight on other's face. I just think her mood is off". He chuckled at that and Said, "Well, I understood that the very first time I met her", and started thinking about their first meeting and looked up to see her going away.
'Shiiiitt! That wasn't supposed to come out as rude haaaa!!!!! You are not a teenager Vaishnaviii!! Why are you even jealous?!. There is no reason. It's not like I have a crush on him or something. Ughh shut up shut upWhat do I do now? How can I face them?'
She was thinking all this and didn't notice her Dupatta getting stuck on a table. She bent down to take her Dupatta back, but her side low pony was hanging on her face and making her unable to look at it. "Ughh, this is not at all helping the situation", she grunted. "Then I can help, Vaishnavi", a voice came from behind.
"Uh, whoever that is, please come in front of me and help me as soon as possible because I can't even turn around to look who you are", she said. That person laughed and came forward to help her. "Thank you, Angraj Karn", she thanked him with a sweet smile.
Everything was seen by a pair from a distance. "She has become friends with everyone it seems. As much as straight forward she is also very sweet", Subhadra said to Arjun. But he was not listening to anything she was saying. His eyes were glued to those two people who were laughing at something. 'Oh! Yeah! Of course I won't be the only one whom she will speak and laugh with', Arjun thought.

"Why are you sitting now? Let the men finish the lunch first. Then you can have", Shakuni said, scoffing at her. "Tell me one reason for me not to sit with you guys!", she Protested. "Putri, it is an unwritten rule that women should have food after men finishes", Gandhari said. She could not believe the inequality. "Well Mata, I love to break rules", she said with attitude.
"No, that's not happening", the King of Gandhar intervened. "What exactly is the reason?", she asked. "Is it because you think we can't do anything other than giving birth and cooking? Well, we are much more than that. If you don't believe, give me a chance, I will design strategies for your war tomorrow."
"No need. We don't need a woman to strategize plans for us", Duryodhan told arrogantly. "Again? You are coming back to square one", She asked with disbelief. "Woman, do you want us to eat or not? If you are sitting here, we are not having anything and we will walk out", Duryodhan said with irritation.
"Yeah, we are still enduring you because you are Vasudev's sister. Oh, well you are not, aren't you? Who knows whose sister or daughter you are", Dushasan said, Making the Kauravas and Shakuni smirk. The Pandavas shot their heads up at this statement, Arjun and Bheem having the wildest expressions.
"That's enough! Limit your tongue Dushasan. This is not how you speak with a lady", Bheeshm warned him, and he looked away in arrogance. Meanwhile the king was just silent, not going against his sons. "Putri, you take a seat and have lunch with us", he said. "No Pitamah. Let them have their lunch. My hunger had died down long ago", saying this, she immediately left the place, gulping down her tears.
She went near a pillar and stumbled down, crying silently. Her mind was filled with the memories of her brother Virat and her father, how he was killed, how her father became cold after that, had a heart ailment and how she was forced to leave her dearest job. She found it really hard to breath.
She was irritated at the bee that was flying on her face from a long time, which just spoiled her mood more. She angrily waved her hand at the bee to shoo it away. But as she did that, some golden ray left her hand and hit a pot, which was almost 50 metres away, and making it burst and break. She looked at it confused, not getting what just happened.
"Are you okay?", a person asked from her behind. She wiped her tears away, forgetting what just happened, and said, "I'm okay Ashwathama. Thanks for asking. At least, some have humanity here", she said chuckling bitterly.
Kneeling down to her level, he said, "Vaishnavi, I'm sorry about what happened there. My friend can say many things mindlessly. Please don't take it seriously. And, Please don't cry. Tears are the most precious thing. Don't ever waste them", he told her.
"Hmm, you are right. Thanks for that", she said smiling a little. "There there, now this is how Vaishu should be", he said smiling back at her. "Now, please go back to your friend. I don't want him to go on fasting as his friend was not there", she said. He chuckled at her words and nodded.
As he was about to go there, she stopped him. "Ashwathama!", she called him. His breath hitched. The way she called him was like nectar to his ears. He swore to Mahadev, that if she calls him like that again in her sweet voice, he will just marry her right away. He turned around to see her. "Friends?", she asked extending her hands. He did not understand what to do now, should he also extend his hands?
She immediately understood, "oh come on! Not again! Wait I'll explain what a handshake is".
