A common misconception that a forest with all its animals was burned down just to build the Pandava kingdom. The fact- NO, it wasn't.

No matter how many books you read, you can never complete Mahabharatha, the greatest epic of all times. Each time you read it, new thoughts will pop up and new things will make sense. In the incredible maze of this never ending story, nothing is pure and no one is sinned. Evil is justified and benevolence is brushed aside, all for greater good. Men and women of this legendary story, caught in the webs of their own words and actions, spinned the great wheels of fate and perished in the grand process to gift us this unmatchable literary gem. But the unyielding master of lives, TIME let some of those characters to live long after their deaths in our imagination. Though thousand characters managed to live to tell this magnificent tale, the spotlight is reserved to only few and the mortals won't shut up hailing and criticising them until the very end of time. Baahubali the 1000 crore collection movie has been the talk of even BBC. Many commented on the aspects of movie making, effects, acting etc I looked at the story. I am not in any position to comment on the great actors. THEY WERE AND ARE GREAT AND LEGENDS LIKE SATHYARAJ CANNOT BE EVALUATED BY ME. But as an avid reader and small time author let me evaluate the story and compare to the greatest story and epic ever Mahabharatha.... From a definite alignment to the great epic the twists that made this different by that genius Raja Mouli...

Arjuna's triumph as Brihannala never gets the attention it deserves. The fear stricken Uttar kumar here later transitions into a brave warrior who gives his life for the Pandavas at Kurkshetra. It is at Matsya, when the kauravas attack, that Uttar witnesses the might of Jishnu first hand. So terrible is Arjuna's wrath in battle that Uttar is dazed and astounded as he attempts to keep pace with the speed and force of Arjun's attack. Mahabharatha is what I always compare every story to. The ultimate epic - the story to end all stories. So I did that with Baahubali also. Every character and events. Bijjala Deva the Dhritharashtra and Shakuni equivalent of Baahubali movies. Spite, complex, cunning, hatred, deceit and evil personified. The man who is responsible for creating another evil person - Bhalla. The hatred he has for his wife is what makes the character different from Dhritharashtra. The way he manipulates Kumara Verma and Kattappa is amazing The fate he suffers is different also

Ekalavya is often misrepresented as a very young, poverty stricken tribal child who was denied basic education by the upper class Drona. Is this what Vyasa says? Not really. Find out who Ekalavya was and what reasons Drona could have had to reject him.
