Chapter 13, Hope

Oli wakes up, seeing that Jack is there once again some how in his dream.

"Hey, who are you?" Oli asked. "None of your business, wait, are trapped like Anthony?" Jack asked. "Yeah." Oli said. "Oh, that means he really was sold to the highest bidder, wait, how can you see me?" Jack said. "I'm the Governor of sleep and dreams, I'm still confused about about as well, but I think I can see people's dreams." Oli said. "So does that mean this is a dream? Anthony isn't in a cage?" Jack asked. "No, we are in cages, but how do you know Anthony?" Oli asked. "Well, I knew him from our old Town, we'd hang out every day." Jack said. "Wait, that could be where he remembers you from." Oli said. "What do you mean?" Jack asked. "Well, last night I felt that you were here, and I woke up and saw you trying to break open the cage." Oli said. "Oh, but that still doesn't really answer my question." Jack said. "Oh right, getting back to that, when I told Anthony about it, he felt like he could remember you somehow, but he didn't know where from." Oli said. "That means, he forgot about me." Jack said. "Well, he is trying his best to remember you, but Listen, you are our only hope of getting out of here, you have to-" Oli said.

Before Oli could finish her sentence, Jack woke up.

"Man, that was such a weird dream." Jack said.

Jack stands up out of bed, and walks out of his room, and to the table, where Diana, Richard, and Willow are sitting, and sits down with them.

"Morning Jack." Richard said. "Morning." Jack replied while rubbing his eye. "Is something wrong Jack?" Willow asked. "Not really I just had a weird dream." Jack said. "What was it about?" Richard asked. "Well, I'm not sure." Jack said. "Don't tell them." David said. "How come?" Jack asked. "I don't know, but I have a feeling you shouldn't." David replied. "Oh, alright." Jack replied.

Diana looks annoyed that Jack is talking to David.

"So, you excited for today?" Richard asked. "Yeah, I get to help move things." Jack said. "You also get to go shopping, to choose a bed and desk that you want." Richard said. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Jack said. "I wanna go with you guys!" Willow exclaimed. "Willow, you would get bored, you don't want to go with us, trust me." Richard said. "So how come you get to go? Aren't you going to get bored?" Willow asked. "No, I actually asked to go, I have money that I can use to buy my self some things." Richard said. "Lucky." Willow said. "But don't worry, I'll get you a lollipop when we are checking out." Richard said. "Yay!" Willow exclaimed.

Danny walks into the kitchen, and starts making some breakfast.

"Hey dad, what are you making for breakfast?" Richard asked. "Eggs and bacon, Richard, could you get out some plates and cups for me?" Danny asked. "Sure." Richard said while standing up from his chair. "So how did everyone sleep?" Danny asked. "I slept fine." Richard said while grabbing plates. "I had amazing dreams! I got to ride a princess dinosaur." Willow exclaimed. "I slept fine, I had a weird dream though." Jack said. "Jack, is your name short for something?" Richard asked while placing the plates down on the table. "Yeah, I don't like my birth name though, it reminds me of a specific time." Jack said. "Like what?" Willow asked. "You, don't want to know right now." Jack said.

Richard finishes putting the plates and cups onto the table.

"Thank you Richard." Danny said. "No problem, how long would you say till the eggs are done?" Richard asked. "Give or take five minutes." Danny replied. "Alright." Richard said. "Hmm." Jack said, while thinking. "You good?" Richard asked. "Yeah, just thinking." Jack replied.

A small silence forms, being able to hear the crackling of bacon.

"So, how do you find out what kind of Governor you are?" Jack asked. "Well, kids usually find out during puberty-" Danny started. "La la la la la la la, I don't want hear about this." Willown exclaimed while covering her ears. "They could also find out before it, we didn't know what Richard Governed over till he was your age." Danny said. "Oh, ao, I should be able to find out soon somehow?" Jack asked. "Yeah." Danny replied. "Ooh, I wonder what kind of Governor he is going to be." Willow wondered. "So, how do you find out about it?" Jack asked. "Well, we don't know, it's happened during dreams, while being awake, whole being calm, and whole being panicked before." Danny said. "So, I don't know when I'll find out." Jack said. "Well, you at least found out what part of your true form looks like." Danny said. "Wait, how?" Jack asked. "Remember when your hands were drippy black ooze? Well, that is probably your true form, your whole body becomes ooze that you can  control." Danny said. "Whoa." Richard said. "But before you can go into it normally, you have to learn how to control your true form." Danny said. "What do you mean?" Jack asked. "Well, if someone couldn't control their true form, something bad could happen." Richard said. "Yeah." Danny said.
