UNUSUAL SILENCE

As soon as he got out of the room Srikanth was speechless didn't know what to do so he went to washroom try to be calm and give it a thought but still he cant accept the fact that Srishti is going to be someone's wife he want to be with her he want to cherish her and take care of her and love her more than anyone but all of this has meant nothing when he got the news he just came out and looked in Srishti's eyes she is somewhat nervous but happy seeing her happy made Srikanth a little bit better but he cannot think the reason for her happiness he immediately took out his phone and called Akash and they met in the previous coffee shop.

Akash felt really bad after listening to the news he encouraged him to talk to her about his feelings before the engagement so if there are any chances there still might be hope, but Srikanth refused I saw her smiling not like happiest person but she is smiling and may be happy also I don't want to budge in that and after that Akash tried to console his friend but Srikanth wanted to be alone. Akash informed Srikanth's mom so she wouldn't ask anything when Srikanth arrived home as expected he didn't talk he didn't eat just went to his room.

Srishti's POV: as two months of the job passed as a breeze I am enjoying my life I have friends and a crush ( my handsome lead) and a career I wished for as usual I went home after my work but there are so many people in my house and my mom is very happy and my dad serious as usual they know a little bit about my interest on my lead as they heard me talking with my friends but its not serious because I am not sure of my feelings towards him and I don't think it as a serious issue, so daily when I come home they will be little irritated with me and asking to me stop my work but today they are extremely happy and proud I don't know why but later on when I got inside the house there is a family sitting it's just a family of 3 a mother father and I think there son, suddenly that aunty came towards me and said oh finally you are here beta, I have been asking your mom where is my daughter in law from almost an hour? I was in utter shock! Daughter in law? me? how on earth? who told? so many questions on my mind my mom soon took me to another room told me that she will get me ready and as soon as I entered the room I asked her why is she calling me daughter in law?

Then my mom told me your dad fixed your marriage he is the groom Aditya he is the CEO of a small business but they are very well off and you will be very happy if you married him so no more questions just wear this saree and come to living room if your father get's to know you are reluctant you will see his wrath. we will discuss once they go.

At that moment I didn't say anything because I cant do that IN front of others so I silently wore the saree and went to the living room and sat there listening to my father and that uncle speaking so would you like to finalize this?

DAD: we really like your family and your son has achieved so much in such a young age it's my daughter's luck to get an alliance like this so we don't have any problem.

Uncle: That's the same from us also as my son saw the picture of your daughter and decided that she will be his wife and this made us most happy so we can discuss about engagement and marriage?

Dad: Absolutely we would love to, I called the pandit also so we can decide everything.

Pandit: After seeing the horoscopes next week will be ideal for engagement and next month for the wedding if you are okay with this then we can lock it with Roca happening now.

Dad: Oh, That's Great!!

So suddenly so much happened without any consent from Srishti her marriage is fixed and no one bothered to ask her from both the ends, Srishti always knew her family never respects her decision but at least she thought the future family will ask her opinion but looking the situation she understood that it's not possible. After that little ceremony they asked the bride and groom to stand beside each other for picture she was hell nervous and saw the groom and thought he is not bad but not good like Srikanth that's it she realized in the very moment that she have feelings for him but it's too late and with so much hesitation she stood there the Groom came to her closely and said that you are looking beautiful and placed his hand on you waist from back you felt little unknown emotion with lot going on you ignored and want to talk to your parents about this marriage. so once they left you started talking to your parents

Srishti: Dad, I don't want this marriage I am too young to get married I want to be little more successful in my career and I didn't like the way you made this decision without consulting me.

Dad: what consulting you who do you think you are this is my house and you are living under my roof only my decision matters and what's wrong with Aditya he is very handsome, successful and rich people will die to marry a person like him.

Mom: it's so true you both look so good together don't talk nonsense just be happy you are getting married and Aditya already told that you can work if you want so there will not be any career issue.

Dad: I think you like someone from your work as I listen the other day your lead Srikanth just think of it once if you say a word against me or do anything to spoil the wedding you will not face any consequences but the person you care Srikanth and your friends I will show them the hell you can probably think you know I have connections with powerful people.

Srishti: after what his father told her earth shattered and couldn't speak anything she can let any bad happen to her but she cant see her friends and especially Srikanth in bad situations and specially not because of her so she told her father " Dad, I will do whatever you want, Please don't hurt them".

Dad: Now that's what I want to hear just go and prepare for the wedding and many reputed persons are attending if anything happens to you also I will not tolerate. everything has to be perfect it's about my reputation.

Srishti didn't know what to speak and she cried and cried a lot and dozed off eventually the next day she attended office and searched for Srikanth because now she got to know her feelings for him she wanted to see him but he didn't come eventually she told her friends about the wedding and when Srikanth called her to his cabin she was happy first but later when she realized about the wedding she was very sad and after informing him his reaction was not usual just told congrats and left. Srishti don't know how to survive this situation she just gave in.
