It had been two days since Tomioka's family had arrived at his estate. Tonight, he had Emika's three children over at his house as well.
Kaoru, age 9, sat at a table coloring a picture. Kaya, age 6, and her younger brother Miko, age 4, were in the pool with Tsu, age 2, and Mizu, age 10. Despite the cold weather, the pool was rather warm since it was indoors.
"Kaoru, why don't you join us in the pool?" Tomioka told the child. He was going to join the little ones in the pool.
"I didn't bring my swimsuit today." Kaoru told him.
"That's okay. You guys brought spares last time, remember? They should be in the pool closet next to the towels." His eyes lit up at that. He hadn't remembered.
"Alright, thank you, Giyuu!" He answered cheerfully. Je was quick to get up from his seat and dash towards the closet. Tomioka smiled. These kids were so well-mannered and behaved. He loved looking after them.
This was a usual thing. Tomioka would watch the kids during the day, and Emika would watch the kids at night. Most of the time, he only ever watched the two little ones since Tsu was homeschooled, and Miko didn't start school until next year. The older kids had school during the week, and he would only ever look after them on days off or on Saturdays. Emika watched all children at night whenever Tomioka had a mission.
"Kaya, no running. You're gonna get hurt." Tomioka told the child. She was running into the pool to create a splash.
"Sorryyy. I was cool, though, right?" She asked Tomioka, who was now soaked without even jumping in himself.
"Very." Tomioka smiled. "But, this is how you make a grand entrance."
"Ooh!!" Tsu squealed. "Daddy gon' do a flip!!" Tomioka stood up on the diving board, pushing off, flipping in the air, and then diving in. He swam under the kids and swooped the two younger ones up on his shoulders. They flipped backward off into the pool with giggles.
"You're such a showoff.." Mizu grumbled.
"I could teach you. All you gotta do is ask." Tomioka laughed. The boy let out a huff.
"Fine, teach me." Tomioka raised a brow. "Please?"
"Of course, my dear baby cousin." Tomioka grinned.
"I'm not a baby!!" the boy whined.
"How old am I?" Tomioka asked rhetorically.
"21." Mizu answered.
"And you?" Tomioka added.
"40." the boy lied.
"Ugh, such an old man." he acted out a look of disgust.
"And what's wrong with being 40?" Kaiyo faked a look of hurt as she walked in with a tray of fruits and sandwiches. Tomioka laughed.
"Nothing, Auntie." he smiled.
"Don't be salty that Mizu is still just a boy. You're my baby, too." she cooed.
"Noo, don't say that. I am 21, exactly and officially an adult~" he grinned.
"You're still two in my heart." she hummed.
"He's not two, I is two!" Tsu added.
"Me too!" Miko joined. Though, he had just turned 3 not long ago.
"Yeah, they're the babies of the family. I guess Mizu isn't that young. He's still short, though." Tomioka teased.
"Shut up." the boy pouted.
"Language." Kaiyo scolded.
"That's not even a bad wordddd!" he huffed.
Kaoru came back into the room, now changed into his swimsuit. Kaoru was quick to dive off the board and go splashing into the water. Kaya had gone down the waterslide at the same time.i
