Elysees' eyes dropped to her shoes as Jordan rang the doorbell. They were both wearing matching shoes that Jordan had bought for them. The door opened to reveal a middle aged white man.
"David!" Elysees joyfully exclaimed. She brought the man in for a side hug as Jordan watched smiling. "David this is Jordan my boyfriend and Jordan this is David my stepdad."
"Nice to meet you man." David smiled as he brought his hand out for Jordan to shake.
"Nice to meet you too." Jordan said.
"Yolanda is in the kitchen, Zahid hasn't arrived yet and Gigi is in the backyard with Khai." david informed
"Okay." Elysees nodded. She held Jordans hand through the 120 million dollar mansion her mother and stepfather purchased the day of their marriage. Elysees had a great relationship with her stepfather, but she always felt that they both were very different people that didn't always have the same opinions and that sparked conversation inside their house. Different from Elysees, her sister Gigi was found to share more similarities to David.
"This the house you grew up in?" Jordan asked
"Not really. I was here for 2 years and then I moved out." Elysees explained.
They both entered the kitchen to greet Yolanda, Jordan earning a heartfelt compliment on how he had made Elysees visibly happier. To Elysees this was unusual considering that she never thought her mother would feel well about Jordan. But sometimes miracles happen.
The backyard of the mansion wasn't really a back yard, but more of a huge hill. A barn was settled on the right, and there was also a pool.
Khai was sitting on the trampoline as Gigi fixed her hair.
"Guess who it is!" Elysees said as she squatted down and put her hands on Khai's eyes.
"AUNTIE!!!" Khai happily yelled while turning around and giving Elysees a hug. In the meanwhile, Jordan and Gigi were having a conversation of their own.
"Hey Khai how are you?" Elysees said still holding the hug.
