taylor swift's pov

we were on our way back from our very first date. i was kicking my feet and giggling the whole ride. could this relationship turn into something real? something i've been longing for?

i had my eyes set on the 6'5 football player, travis kelce, from the passenger seat. my cheeks were turning pink at the sight of him. he is such a gentleman.

the rain had picked up and started to get worse. leaves plowed into the windshield. the wind was so strong. "i don't think it's safe to drive in this, there's still 45 minutes until your house." he pulled over.

"so are we just going to wait it out? it's getting late." i replied, a strike of lightning followed. "we could stay in a hotel? if you don't mind of course." he began scrolling through his phone to find the nearest hotel.

i slightly tensed up in the passenger seat, picking at my fingers. he looked over at me and noticed how nervous i looked. "are you okay? if you want to go home we can wait out the storm." he placed a hand on my shoulder. "no, no, it's not that. it's just.." i couldn't bare to finish my sentence.

"im afraid of thunderstorms.." i mumbled, hoping he didn't hear. he chuckled and i felt so embarrassed. i looked away, but then he brought a hand to my chin and made me face him. "you're going to be okay." he reassured me. i was still afraid, but i felt safer.

the storm slightly calmed down so we began driving to the nearest hotel. i knew it would be a good idea to call tree, my publicist, before i check into a random hotel with a guy i just met. but i was far too tired to make a call and figured id just worry about it in the morning.

as we ran in the pouring rain towards the hotel door travis covered my head. "hello!" he said to the receptionist. "hi! you two need a room?" she began typing something. "yes, thank you." he smiled.

"looks like the only room we have left has one king size bed. will that be okay?" she was oddly peppy for it being midnight. travis looked at me and i just nodded, not even hearing what the woman said.

we paid and took the keys. when we got the room i immediately threw my heels off and laid on the bed. "tired?" he asked and sat on the edge of the bed. i just nodded.

"i can sleep on the couch if you want." he offered and grabbed a pillow and began setting up. "no, no, you can sleep in the bed, i don't mind." in my mind i was screaming. should i really be doing this? i met him today. but he's so sweet, and like really hot.

"are you going to sleep in that dress? that can't be comfortable." he asked and pointed to the navy blue silky dress i was wearing. "well this is kinda all i have." i sighed, but before i noticed his shirt was already off.

my face was practically red. he threw the shirt to me and smiled. "thanks, you didn't have to do that." i returned the smile and went into the bathroom to change.

his shirt smelled of strong cologne, i liked it. i came out in his large t shirt looking like a dress on me. i scrolled through my phone for a little while before drifting off the sleep.

the sun was shining through the blinds right in my eyes. i looked around and realized my head was on his chest. he had his arm on my waist. i didn't know if i should wait for him to get up or get up now.

i decided to embrace the moment as i was pretty comfortable. he then stretched his arm out and his eyes fluttered open. "good morning, taylor." his raspy voice said. when he said my name i got butterflies. i felt like a teenager. "oh, um, im sorry." he mumbled and removed his arm from my waist.

"it's okay." i smiled. i picked up my phone and saw a million missed calls from tree, and my parents. i groaned and called tree back.

"taylor?? where are you? security said you never made it home last night." she sounds worried.

"i'm fine. the storm got really bad and we stayed at a hotel." thinking this was calm her down, instead she just started spiraling.

she gave me a lecture on how unsafe that was and what could've happened if someone saw us. i just rolled my eyes and gave her the usual, it won't happen again.

travis came out of the steaming bathroom after he showered. "you're getting me in trouble mr. kelce." i laughed.

"sorry about that, ms. swift. ready to hit the road? wouldn't want to keep security waiting." he smiled and grabbed my purse.

we pulled up to my house and there was a ton of security outside. i rolled my eyes because i really didn't want to get out and deal with them.

travis parked outside and got out to open my door. "thank you so much." i smiled and before it even went through my head i leant in and kissed him. our lips met and i could tell he wanted it. his hand slowly rested on my waist.

we departed from eachother and i waved once i got to my door. i saw him through the window smiling like there's no tomorrow.
