Holden activated the communication link to the UNN task force and Avasarala, the sense of accomplishment tempered by the knowledge that their fight was far from over. The screen flickered as the connection stabilized, revealing Commander Jacobs and Avasarala's expectant faces.

"Holden, report," Avasarala's voice demanded, cutting through any preamble.

Holden's tone carried a mix of relief and determination. "Madam Secretary, Commander Jacobs, we've successfully implemented the false data injection protocol. The Protomolecule's adaptation rate is plummeting. It's caught in a feedback loop and unable to counter the false data quickly enough."

Avasarala's stern gaze softened marginally. "That's excellent news, Holden. But don't assume it's over. The Protomolecule has a way of surprising us."

Commander Jacobs nodded. "Agreed. This gives us a significant tactical advantage, but we need to stay vigilant. What are your next steps?"

Naomi stepped into the frame, providing technical details. "We're stabilizing the protocol and monitoring its effects. Our next move is to initiate a full purge of Protomolecule contamination from the Escher's systems. The feedback loop has bought us time, but the purge will ensure it doesn't regain control."

Commander Jacobs evaluated the situation, his mind clearly on high alert. "We'll coordinate with your team on the purge. Our ships are equipped with additional countermeasures that could bolster your efforts."

Holden appreciated the offer. "Thank you, Commander. We'll need all the help we can get. This is a coordinated effort between the Rocinante and the UNN task force."

Avasarala's authoritative voice cut in. "I'm coordinating resources from Earth and the Belt to support this mission. The OPA has been informed and stands ready to assist as well. We can't afford to let our guard down."

Drummer joined the conversation, her determined expression reflecting a deep resolve. "The Belt will provide any resources needed. We've seen the Protomolecule's devastation before, and we won't let it happen again."

Holden felt a renewed sense of unity and purpose. "With the UNN, the OPA, and the Rocinante working together, we stand a better chance of eliminating this threat once and for all."

Naomi continued, "As we prepare for the purge, we'll need to coordinate the timing and procedures closely. The Protomolecule's resilience means we have to be thorough and precise."

Avasarala's voice held an edge of caution. "And you'll have it. I expect regular updates on your progress, Holden. We need to stay ahead of this thing at every turn."

"Understood, Madam Secretary," Holden replied. "We'll keep you informed every step of the way."

Commander Jacobs added, "We'll position our ships to provide direct support. Our science teams are ready to assist with the purge process. Let's ensure we cover all bases."

Dr. Bell, who had been silently listening, spoke up. "We've detailed the Protomolecule's behavioral patterns and vulnerabilities. I'll share this information with the UNN task force and OPA to optimize the purge."

Avasarala ended the conversation with her characteristic decisiveness. "Then let's not waste any more time. Get to work, Holden. The fate of more than just your crew depends on it."

With the secure connection terminated, Holden felt the gravity of their task—and the strength of their alliance.

"Alright, everyone," Holden said, turning to his crew. "We've got the backing of the UNN and the Belt. Naomi, finalize the purge protocols. Amos, Bobbie, continue to reinforce our defenses. Drummer, coordinate with the OPA. Dr. Bell, work with their science teams."

Amos gave a nod of approval. "Once we start the purge, we need to be ready for anything. Let's make sure we're good to go."

Bobbie's eyes were focused and determined. "We'll be ready, Holden. This Protomolecule won't know what hit it."

Drummer's fierce resolve was evident. "The Belt will stand with you."

Holden took a deep breath, the unity and determination of the crew and their allies fueling his resolve. "Let's finish this."

As the preparations commenced, the Rocinante and her crew stood as the vanguard against the Protomolecule's menace, their combined strength a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

What Fate do you choose next?

Coordinate with the UNN task force to synchronize the purge and optimize its effectiveness.
