Chapter 4: The weight of guilt

He narrowed his eyes to found out what was the noises. He suddenly paused "Kaido- Run!"

"Huh ?". He turned his back to look at Yasha

Yasha dragged him from his arm and shouted once more "Run Kaido Run!"

Kaido started to run without looking behind him. "Is that a bear or something like that ????"

He looked behind and then to Kaido " No ! It's a beast!"

"HUH but- wait, it's that spider ???"

"I don't... I don't know Kaido! Just run!"

Kaido thought for a second. "Oh fucking god- GINGER BOY. DAMN IT WE FORGOT ABOUT HIM"

Yasha looked around and then shouted once more "Go hide yourself! I'm going to check on him!"

He hesitated. "Alright but-... But don't get too close to that thing"

: He nodded and paused to run to the opposite way to go find Mee Lee.

Kaido kept running and accidentally hurt himself because of a branch. "Damn it, it's just a little bit of blood, nothing to worry about". He ignored it and started to walk away, a hand on his chest. "Damn it, the doc told me that I shouldn't run like this". He ended up laying against a tree.  ".... Shit-". He thought about what they saw. "That can't be the spider, that thing was  way too fast.... But then what-". He started breathing heavily. "Could there... Be more of them-?". He felt his head getting heavier. "Oh damn it....". He stayed silent for a moment. "Yasha... you better... not join me...". He closed his eyes as his heartbeat slowed and let out his last sigh

At the same time, Yasha kept running around on the place they were with Kaido. He looked around as he tried to catch his breath. He shouted "Mee Lee!?"

Something was moving in a tree, Yasha came closer to look at it before getting hit by a nut

He shouted "Hey! Mee Lee if it's you you aren't funny at all! Come out of there!"

Mee Lee moved some branches before completely appearing. He looked at Yasha, eyes wide open before using sign language to tell him to join him. [ GET THE UP THERE, YOU WANT TO DIE OR SOMETHING ? ]

He raised his head and looked at him as he spoke back [A monster is here]

[ I KNOW ]

[RUN AWAY THEN]

Mee Lee heard footsteps. [ GET UP THERE IT'S COMING ]

He looked behind and without wasting one more time he climbed next to him

[ Don't, make a noise. He's right there]

He didn't said more and looked around to check the monster

Mee Lee kept looking carefully at the ground. He then gave a look to the squirrel that was on his shoulder. The squirrel jumped to the ground and ran somewhere

Yasha sighed "it isn't around, carefully leave the forest, I will take a look on Kaido"

Mee Lee didn't saw his squirrel coming back and he grabbed Yasha by the arm. [ It's still around ]

He sighed in annoyance as he kept looking around in a worried way

He noticed how annoyed and worried Yasha was. [ Don't worry, we'll find him ]

[I will]. He sighed as he understood he can be misunderstood [Go take yourself in shelter]

[ And letting you get killed ? Yeah, no thanks ]

[No need to worry about me]

[ Yes there is ]

He rolled his eyes in annoyance and looked into the void as he was lost in his thoughts
