it wasnt uncommon for me to physically just crash and burn a lot of the times. so i was just laying in jennas office. good for me is i got to hear everyones conversations. the best thing is i get to help jenna with papers, and that means she gets to listen to my music.

"y/n, your music is loud" jenna spoke up turning it down a notch. but the second she walked away was the second she was dancing. it was great music, so everyone that came in would just witness the song on. most people would just drop it off and leave but for the few who stayed and sat to listen were holding a special place in my heart.

"i forgot to ask, but zayne emailed asking about the new eye drops?" jenna questioned. "they are fine, and i could see that my phone has been off since i havent gotten paid recently." i answered. sure i could tell she felt bad about the low paychecks this month but there wasnt really anything she ccould do.

"im sorry jenna, but the music is distracting" yin came in and looked at us. "it doesnt bother us" xavier came in after trying to detour her away. i turned it up just to spite everyone. "sorry about y/n shes a little cranky today" jenna apologized turning it down.

"did you sleep enough?" xavier asked "or maybe you need food" he followed up. "are you even a human xavier?" i questioned only getting a taken aback look. "sometimes i wonder if you are" i followed it up and kept writing on my papers.

"of course hes a human y/n" yin stood next to me. "how could you even say such a thing" she kept going i watched as xavier pulled her away. "its fine" he tried to speak only for her to get more closer to me.

"you have a blessing and your shallow?" she questioned. "i have a curse" i answered back. "your eyes, they are your blessing" she followed up. "and i didnt fucking ask for them. i didnt want them" i answered only to take the papers and leave.

(jennas pov)

i looked at the both of them. "i said it was alright" xavier spoke. "truthfully sometimes i dont think hes human yin" i responded getting a sly smile from xavier. he barely shows emotions its easy to get lost.

"but shes lucky" yin looked at both of us. "she has the possibility to go blind, you have the possibility to die. its our mission to keep you both safe. think about it yin" i said looking at her. "blind is better then death" yin spoke only to look at me. disappointed that was my expression.

"it doesnt matter whos problems are worse, but shes struggling, with more then what anyone can help with. she has to go to her doctor every week, meet with doctor noah every month on the last month of the day." i said only to get a look from yin.

"i feel like i have overstayed my welcome" xavier spoke up. "if you see y/n tell her to report to me" i said watching him leave. "your good on teams, shes not. xavier doesnt do teams and yet here he is. i paired you both so you could teach something to each other" i said only to look at her.

"you to work alone, her to work with a team. xavier is fine where he is. he can do both" i finished getting a look. "then why does she hate me?" she asked looking at me. "she doesnt, she thinks your only good at relying on others. your first transition you had a partner and every mission youve had xavier by your side" i said getting a look.

"but i can do it alone" she said only for y/n to walk in. "your both going, y/n you watch, yin you fight" i said getting nods.

it was just strolling around hot spots, but shes either mad or upset and i hate it. i do know jenna was texting me on the hunter watch, i guess when you get promoted you get a better watch. oh well its fancy and all but its bulky and heavy.
