Chapter 2

Mile after Mile I run and run

I can't believe, look at what I've become

Only if she was still here

I wouldn't have to go anywhere.

*Flashback*

Like every other morning, I wake up being annoyed by the sound of the birds chirping, hearing the voices of the people in the kingdom, and the bright sun shining on my face, disturbing my sleep. But this morning was different. I woke up feeling good. I got out of bed and sat by my window. Looking at the bright blue sky, with the light of the shining sun, and the birds chirping with pride.

I realize that the morning sun brings about new hope for today. Today is a brand new day and I'm going to live it like it's my last. I smiled happily, skipping to the bathroom. Run the water, turn the tap, pour in bubble bath while the water laps. I slipped my night gown off, stepped in and lay back. Melting away.........just relaxing. I could feel the soothing water on my skin, as my mind and thought drift away.

After my bath, I put on a nice pink dress, white gloves, and a big white floral print hat. I don't really like to wear bright colors, actually I hate bright colors, but like I said its a new day. I ran downstairs and into the library I went. Looking at my mother reading books to the children puts a smile on my face. She likes to do this every once in awhile.

"Mother if you don't mind, I'll be going for a walk around the kingdom." I made sure to tell her where I would be so she wouldn't have to worry.

"Sure darling as long you're careful. Try not to get in trouble and remember kill them with kindness."

My mother always said this, "Kill the with kindness." The kindness part wasn't my thing really, but I did try to be kind for the sake of my mother.

I kissed my mother on the cheek and ran out of the palace. I was hoping I'd see him. You know the mysterious boy that got me all happy and excited. It's like he got me on some kind of spell.

"I think I maybe in love." I said in my mind. Smiling and looking at the ground I bumped into someone, really hard that I fell onto the ground. I was about to show my evil side until I realized who it was.

"Sorry princess, my apology, I didn't see you coming." He said handing me his hand. I decided not to let him off easily.

"Of course you didn't see me coming, how could you see me if you're walking and reading a book at the same time? That's very dangerous you know. You could've fell into a lake and drown. And you could be calling for help but no one is there to help you. But thank God that didn't happen cause...." I realize I was saying to much and didn't want to finish my sentence. He chuckled and started walking.

"Where are you going?" He couldn't just leave without saying bye.

 "I was hoping you'd follow me.....to a magical land."

"What magical land?" I questioned giving him a puzzling look. Obviously there wasn't a magical land. I can't possibly fall for that. Can I?

" You will just have to see....race you." He started running fast and fast, making it impossible for me to catch up.

Trying to run fast as possible. Knocking people down(oops), jumping over carts. I took my hat off and threw it on the ground, hopefully someone will see it and take it. My adrenaline is pumping

My heart is pounding, trying to catch my breath, trying not to slow down, but it happened anyway. I stopped to catch my breath only to hear him say, "We're here."

"Wow." was all I could say.

"Come on, lets go." he said as he grabbed my hand. What ever this place was, it was amazing! Spectacular water clear waterfalls, colorful birds flying around, white horses, squirrels looking for nuts, frogs hopping from one lily pad to another and many more things you can imagine. It was pretty magical. All the animals gathered around me.

I sat down in the middle of them and gave them a smile. I even started singing. After getting distracted by the beauty of this secret place, I walked over to the big oak tree and sat down next to him.

"If your wondering, my name is William. I come from a small family. I have a little sister and my dad isn't with us anymore. This is my secret hiding place and I come down here to think. No one knows this place except me and I haven't shown anyone not even my sister who I love dearly. I only showed it to you because......your special. Not because your a princess, but because your very beautiful. When the sun shines on your face, it sparkles. Your face lights up with a big smile. Your heart feels aglow. it's like your this happy person and you don't worry about whatever darkness heads your way." I blushed as I heard him say this.

"Your sweet." was all I could say out loud, but inside all I really wanted to say was, "I'm not the type of girl you think I am." But I just smiled instead.

I laid my head on top of his chest as we both started to fall asleep. Fighting with my eyes to stay open, I couldn't help but to close them. My eyes were shut and I fell into deep sleep. Few minutes passed, I was disturbed by laughter. I'd recognize that laugh from anywhere.

I got up gently, not wanting to wake him up. I got up and made my way towards the laughing. Of course I knew exactly who it was. That's when my mood changed. I was too distracted in my thoughts that I didn't even realize I was being pushed into a mud puddle. I got up angry, wiping the mud off of me. Laughing and throwing pebbles at me. I couldn't take it anymore.

 I can feel my body heating up, wanting to do something terrible. I screamed and picked up a rock with all my strength and smashed it on their heads.

I dropped the rock and fell to the ground, putting my hand over my heart. It was beating fast and felt like someone was drilling a hole in it. I got up to catch my breath. I grabbed both hands and started dragging the body into woods, as I started pulling I caught a glimpse of someone watching me. Standing there looking terrified at what I was doing I grabbed a nearest rock and threw it, not missing.  I ran over to the body and pulled it with the other body.

Do I feel ashamed? No, not really. I'm actually glad their both gone. Putting an evil smile on my face, I hid the body in an abandon house. I kicked the door open and dropped the bodies inside. I closed the door behind me, putting a lock on it just incase.

I washed up and walked back to where William was. I sat back down whispering in his ears, "wake up." He rolled over, yawing, giving me a soft smile.

"What happened to your dress?" he asked me looking confused. " I fell in a mud puddle. I wasn't looking where I was going." Giving him a smart answer.

"Maybe you should pay more attention to where your going next time." We both laughed and got up. He dusted the dirt off his pants, grabbed my hand as we started walking back . I hope he doesn't find out about what I did. I hope no one realizes they are gone.
