Racing Hearts [F1]

3. Him

I arrive with Daniel at the club, as I watch around I see a familiar face. My heart starts racing. I totally ignored the fact that he is a Formula 1 driver. I want to turn around again. I can't see him, not tonight. Not on a date, if you can call it like this.

Daniel: Hey, where you wanna go? You alright?

Daniel grabbed my arm, being confused why I wanna leave the club again.

Alison: Eh, I- I feel a bit sick. Maybe I should go.

I lie, trying to come up with an excuse. He just raises his eyebrow being totally suspicious. As he was about to say something some other familiar face from today are joining us.  

Charles: Alison, right? Loved your performance. It was amazing.

He gives me some welcome kisses on both of my cheeks. I smile thankfully.

Alison: Thank you, means a lot to hear this. And you are?

Charles: Charles Leclerc, I'm driving for Ferrari.

I get to know Pierre, Max and Carlos as well. I look around and grin as another two guys are walking over.

Alison: George, you're also here?

George: Well, it's Miami right?

And then HE is appearing behind him.

Lewis: What is she doing here?

Alison: It's not she, it's Alison.

I give him a wink.

Alison: But don't worry I'm already on my way back.

Daniel: Is it that bad? You need to stay.

Daniel tries to convince me again. I sigh. He's cute tho. I was about to say something as I get interrupted.

Lewis: ALISON (he says it loudly as I corrected him before), has probably other things to do's

Alison: You're annoying me.

I roll my eyes and want to turn around but I bump into someone. I look up seeing him. That's not how this night was supposed to be.

???: Alison Miller.

He grins, looking into my eyes. I swallow.

Alison: Lando Norris.

Lando: Ah, come here! It's so good to see you again. How are you?

He pulls me into a hug. I shrug, didn't expect that to happen. I'm confused. Why is he like this? I guess he notices I'm surprised about the way he acts as he starts smiling.

Lando: Hey, don't worry. I'm not gonna tell him anything about you and I won't ask about him.

Alison: Okay, good. I'm done with him. He doesn't need to know about me anymore.

I nod relived. Knowing Lando good enough to know he is serious about this.

Lando: And just so you know, I'm on your side in this. I'm not okay the way he treated you.

Alison: Thanks.

I smile. I'm glad he won't talk about him. I want to enjoy this night without that my ex boyfriend got to know about what I'm doing. That's why I wanted to leave. And I guess Daniel knows about this now too, as he turns to me.

Daniel: So, you're staying?

Lando: Of course, she will! Alison is the best one for parties like this.
