6. Rules

I walk into the Mercedes home the next day. I couldn't sleep all night. I've talked to Matthew for hours. I called Selena. She's my best friend and I needed to tell her. I think I've seen this film before .

Alison: If we do this PR relationship, we need some rules.

Lewis: I also wish you a very good morning.

He sits at a table, playing with his phone . He looks up
to me and raises an eyebrow. I sigh annoyed.

Alison: Well, good morning. But can we talk about it now?

He gets up and starts to walk away. I follow him. He leads us to a room. A small room in this hospitality. Looks like a little private space for him. A sign with his name infront of it. Lewis invites me inside and closes the door behind me.

Lewis: Why do we need rules?

Alison: To survive this PR stunt.

I cross my arms and lean against the wall. He rolls his eyes and sighs.

Lewis: Okay, fine. What rules do you want?

Alison: Rule No. 1 - No kisses or other things.

Lewis: How do you want the public to believe this relationship if we don't kiss or hold hands?

He looks suspicious. I think about it again, looking at him for a while. I take a deep breath.

Alison: We can't pretend to kiss but no real kisses.

Lewis: Alright, Miss girlfriend.

He smirks as he jumps onto a sofa to sit there. He starts to enjoy this a little too much already. I roll my eyes.

Alison: You're getting on my nerves more and more.

He laughs. But stops as I warn him.

Lewis: Rule No. 2 - We shouldn't fight and act like this in public even tho you annoy me to hell. But let's do it right.

Alison: Fine, but rule no. 3 - no private details! We do this for work and work only. You don't have to know about my private life.

Lewis: No interested at all. But we should share some basic things, in case we get questions in interviews about it.

Alison: I'll sent you the most important details about me via E-Mail.

I smile softly. He's right. We signed our contracts. We need to do this, just thinking about how to survive a pr stunt.

Lewis: How about dating? Can we date others?

I laugh out loud.

Alison: Who wants to date you?

He rolls his eyes.

Lewis: Funny.

Alison: Go for it but don't cheat on me in public.

I smile being back to serious and already walk over to the door. I wanted to leave as he stops me.

Lewis: Hey, where do you wanna go?

Alison: I'm hungry and thought you could get me something to eat.

I turn around with a grin. He looks at me confused.

Lewis: Me? You know there is a food court?

I go out and walk away but turn around to go again.

Alison: Well, it's time to get seen together. Getting the rumors starting.

He takes a deep breath, getting ready for the pr stunt and goes into show modus.
