Chapter 3: Thawing Hearts
Yn's presence in the palace was like a breath of fresh air, her warmth and kindness slowly penetrating the icy walls that guarded Taehyung's heart. As they spent more time together, the king found himself softening, his frozen facade beginning to crack.
One evening, as they walked in the palace gardens, Yn's hand brushed against Taehyung's, and a spark of magic flew between them. The king's eyes met Yn's, and for a moment, they saw beyond the masks they wore.
Taehyung's grip on Yn's hand tightened, his fingers intertwining with hers. "You're the first person to see beyond the ice, Yn," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "You're the first to make me feel again."
Yn's heart raced as she looked into Taehyung's eyes, seeing the glimmer of the man beneath the frozen exterior. "I see you, Taehyung," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I see the warmth, the love, the heart that's been hidden for so long."
As they stood there, the snowflakes around them slowed, suspended in mid-air, and the palace, once a prison of ice, began to feel like a home.
