Ada!! Ada!! ,The queen yelled from outside her daughter's chambers but there was no reply from her room,she barged in out of curiosity and fear only to find out the young princess was not in her chambers. This worried the queen and she asked her maids to find Adaeze immediately only to find her daughter running towards her soaked from head to toe. Then she asked "Adaeze where are you coming from and what happened to you?, She replied, "Mama I went to the stream with the maids to assist them in fetching water but in the process I fell into the water". Her mother replies angrily, who asked you to fetch water ehn, you are just lying, I know you intentionally went to the stream to play in the water, Adaeze what is wrong you? You are a princess of this kingdom for Christ sake ,you need to grow up and stop this childishness. "Calm down my queen, she's just a child, she will learn eventually" said the king as he was passing through and all the servants and maids immediately bowed at his presence. Adaeze with a big smile ran to her father's back because she knew he had come to rescue her from her mother's nagging. He loves her so much because she is his only child and heir. He always supports her childish ventures ."she is 18 years old, she's a grown woman and will be a wife one day, when will she grow up, you are always supporting her nonsense ehn".said the queen. Then the king replied "Okay my love , I'm sorry ndoo (calm down)ehn, she is also sorry, she will not do it again, oya Adaeze come and apologise to your mother". She apologised and her mother forgave her immediately and they hugged" Oya go and change your clothes Osiso(quickly)and come for breakfast. Then the king and queen left smiling. After breakfast, the king received a message from his manservant that the counsel of chiefs have gathered at the meeting room for an emergency meeting and they demanded his presence immediately. This worried the king because he wondered what the problem might be that warranted his chief's to come to the palace so early. He immediately stood up and went to the meeting room.
